The owner is so sweet. The food was interesting. I don’t know what I expected but the food was prepared well and beautiful. Would go back. The sweet and spicy wings had a great flavor and were crispy. The sweet and sour pork is not your typical dish. The batter was a lot lighter which I appreciate. My daughter ordered some noodle dish. It had some kind of pork on top and it had such a wonderful flavor. Sorry I don’t know what it was but I could have eaten a whole bowl of just that!

I first met Paik Jong-won back when he was just a start up restaurateur hustling his way through the Seoul food scene, running his first jjam bong joint. I remember him chatting about plans to launch a jjajang mein spot next—ambitious even then. Fast forward, and this guy’s turned into a global restaurant empire and bona fide celebrity (Culinary Class Wars on Netflix).

So when his franchise landed in Columbus, I had to make the drive up from Cincinnati. Korean Chinese food around here? Practically nonexistent. I was damn curious. Was it the same as back in Korea? Not quite. The sweet and sour pork missed some magic; the batter felt a bit off. But the spicy fried chicken? Nailed it. The black noodles leaned too sweet, yet still satisfying.

The place has this odd quasi self-service setup that had me scratching my head, but the food came out fast, and the lady running the joint was straight-up friendly. It’s an experience worth the trip—Columbus, don’t sleep on this one.

First time and quite a nice surprise here in the Graceland area. Paik’s is more Korean-Chinese comfort food (noodles and bean sauces) rather than your standard Korean (kimchi, bbq meats). Ordered the Beef Jjamppong which is very similar to any beef and cabbage soup. But here, they add chewy noodles and mushrooms. Also, ordered fried dumplings and their crispy steamed buns. The buns are like fried donuts, and serving it with sweet condensed milk is genius. Clean restaurant, plenty of parking, and service was quick, friendly and polite. Definitely will visit again. Highly recommended.

I really liked the food and the service, but I just wished they would add more meat.

I ordered meat Jjamppong with rice, and the meat was not much. I had to call Search and Rescue team to find the meat. My wife ordered fried noodles, and it didn’t come with much meat either.

The food is mostly filled with cabbage and other vegetables.

I’m very sure the manager/owner has heard the same complaints about the lack of meat. Hopefully they would change in the future.

There’s plenty of parking in the lot and a decent amount of seating inside. It is seat yourself and there are tablets at each table to order from and you can also order up front. It’s a bright space, inviting, and lively! It felt very homey and cozy. There was a lot of families and groups when we came in.

We got the Stir Fried Jajangmyeon and Jjampoong. The dishes came out hot and fresh with plenty of toppings in each. The flavors were incredible and delicious! The plates are pretty hefty and good for the price. There’s a self-service condiment and utensils bar towards the cash register but each table also has a few things. Everything was easy to order and to get.
Once you order on your tablet, be sure to pay attention to the front for your number to be put up. You go to the front and pick it up at the counter.

Staff was incredibly kind and so nice! They all were very helpful and accommodating.

I would recommend this place for an authentic and delicious meal, delicious food, and incredible staff. Good place for families, small groups, casual hangouts, or just for good food.

Great place for Korean-Chinese in Columbus! We loved the order at your table via iPad ordering style! The staff was so friendly and checked on us multiple times! The self-serve radish and condiment station was a really great edition! Make sure to get a bowl of yellow radish, they really make the meal! The jajangmyeon was so delicious and savory. We also tried the creamy fried shrimp that were crispy in an addictively creamy sauce! Overall it was a very nice, satisfying meal! The restaurant was very clean and I cannot rave enough about how kind and helpful the staff was. We will be back time and time again!

I liked the self service concept and that is clearly shown on the tablet at each table. Food itself was mediocre at best. The sweet and sour pork was extremely disappointing… the sauce was a miss and the coat on the meat was soggy and flavorless. The noodles were not the best either and the same noodles were used for the jjamppong and jjajang which we didnt like. On top of that, we found a hair in our food which they offered to remake, but we were already displeased with the food so they instead took it off the bill and gave us a free coupon for the sweet and sour pork (which, again, was disappointing). We most likely will not be back.

What a great experience at Paik’s Noodle Columbus. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted just like I had experienced when I was in Korea, and the prices were very fair for the big portions. The service was outstanding and very very friendly. I can’t wait to go back! My new favorite in Columbus!
