Came here during our first visit to H Mart. We wanted to hit the food court and try to get a little something from each little stall. Well, Paik didn’t have anything little on their menu, so we ordered the Jjamppong (Spicy noodle soup with pork, squid, mussels and vegetables).

First of all, I wanted to let you know that this was not spicy. The owners know their audience and wouldn’t sell anything too spicy unless it was too the right customer. If you get my meaning. The spicy flavor that this soup offered was very pleasant and the broth was very slurpable.

There was a surprising amount of seafood in the soup, and it wasn’t all overcooked. Lovely little squid, nice-sized mussels, and nice little strips of pork. Along with the tons and tons of cabbage and noodles, this was a very hearty meal. I will be back.

I’m posting this review a bit late. I visited Orlando for a conference about a month ago and stopped by this place at H-Mart. Having enjoyed Paik’s Noodle in Chicago about once a month, I had high expectations and ordered the Jjamppong and Tangsuyuk.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The Tangsuyuk was somewhat acceptable, but Jjamppong had very poor quality. The noodles felt like they were store-bought and pre-packaged, rather than fresh, hand-pulled noodles. Also, the seafood seemed to be a low-quality frozen mix, and the squid, in particular, was so fishy-smelled, mushy that it had no texture or chewiness at all.

I couldn’t finish it and had to leave most of it behind. Even for a food court, serving food of this quality is not acceptable, especially considering it wasn’t cheap at all. This was truly a disappointing experience. I really hope they improve the quality of their ingredients and preparation moving forward.

The taste is not bad, but they need to add more varieties of seafood to the jjampong soup, so single shrimp in it, and only a single wood ear mushroom in the large bowl of soup, just like 3 strands of squid tentacles in it, but the soup size was good and I think they should keep up with the size, but other seafood like shrimp needs to be in the soup

I love love love this place!!! The food always comes out so promptly and everyone is super friendly and willing to help with any questions you have about the food or culture. The experience they provide definitely stands out from the rest of the businesses within the food court. I always order their #1 Jjajangmyeon with a side of white rice and an order of their steam buns with their sweet dipping sauce on the side. Definitely have to stop by at least 2x a week!❤️❤️❤️

Paik’s Noodle is located in the bustling environment of the H-Mart food court. I ordered the jjajangmyeon, a classic and it did not disappoint. The pickled radish that came with it was a little lackluster however. I was curious about the spicy version but instead I decided to give my toilet a break tonight.

Good jjajangmyeon when it’s not easily found in Orlando. The noodles were a little overcooked, but the sauce was good and well balanced. Service was friendly, and we didn’t wait too long despite how busy it was. Prices were high for what it was. I’ll wait until the crowds thin before coming back.

Got #6 and #1. They both tasted great and they were super busy, however two out of the (only) four mussels in my dish were unopened as they were served to me. I felt that for the price there was a lackluster amount of protein in the dish, as well as serving 50% unopened mussels being quite poor form. I still finished the meal!
