Pagoda renovated their restaurant and it’s beautiful. It’s clean and bright inside with nice decorations on their walls. Their bathroom is very clean.
The customer service was really good. She was attentive and gave us some information about making their homemade chili condiments. Those are the positives.
Now, for the needs improvements are the actual food. We ordered our meals and it was drenched in their sauces. That is not standard for stir fried meals. I found it a bit salty too so I had to pick out my food and try to get as much sauce off as possible before eating it. It was a chore and that’s not pleasant while trying to enjoy your food. Also, the beef was a bit dry instead of tender so that was disappointing.
I’m hoping the owner will read the review and make some improvements b/c they have so much potential.

Absolutely loved this spot! The dishes were packed with flavor, everything we ordered tasted amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Seating is a bit limited, so it might not be ideal for large groups, but it’s perfect for a cozy, casual meal. Highly recommend!

Moo Shu Pork is sooo good! It comes with little plum sauce and pancakes. And it wasn’t like a tortilla like the previous review said. These are REAL Moo Shu Pancakes and definitely worth to try!! Also the crab rangoon is to die for! I’ve tried a lot of their food and I just couldn’t stop getting more and more.

If I could leave a negative review I would. Why would an Asian restaurant claim on the menu that Moo Shu chicken comes with pancakes when instead the kitchen gives you store bought tortillas instead? Come on pancakes are easy to make. Super upset and won’t be ordering from Pagoda again of any of the Rice restaurants in general again.

I miss the old pagoda owners and food!!!! A lot of my friends will agree. Pad kee mao was my favorite dish and it’s now so bland, none of that authentic, delicious Thai spice previously used, added tomatoes and took away zucchini. This is about the third/fourth time I’ve tried them since new ownership and I’m heartbroken. My Pagoda is gone forever. Also, who wants all these huge pieces of cabbage in their food?! Please, new ownership, contact previous owners and get my Drunken Noodle deliciousness back! Begging!

We eat here pretty often and they’re normally great. Tonight my wife’s meal came out lukewarm and she didn’t eat it. The waitress asked if we’d like it warmed up after she noticed she had not eaten it. We declined and were charged full price for the for the cold plate. In food service you are supposed to argue for the customers experience and ensure they eat. I contemplated leaving zero tip but decided to just leave the review instead. It doesn’t come out of your paycheck why would you make people pay for food you didn’t cook?

Food was absolutely delicious, you get 3 kinds of flavored oil for your dish as well. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. They didn’t have very many tables available so I recommend calling ahead or going early!

It looked new or newly remodeled so I took photos to share. It looks nice in there, though cramped, and the service was good. I LOVED the nice clean glass carafe and glasses they provided. Plastic is so bad for us and leaches into food and drink (BPA free or not!)
The food was fresh and hot! They are not a Chinese place, but they serve Chinese food. Unfortunately, the Chinese food wasn’t the best. It seriously lacked flavor and the soups didn’t taste right at all, especially the hot & sour. It was neither hot nor sour, even though it LOOKED like it should look. The egg drop soup was too thick and had too much chicken flavor.
Our meals were all Chinese and were fresh but lacking something in flavor, was it msg? I don’t know. I won’t dock them since it isn’t their specialty. The crab rangoons were really great, though!
If we ever stop again, I’ll try the food they do specialize in, Thai.

Pagoda is phenomenal. I had forgot about them the last 10+ years and had only got Chinese food before, I’m a huge Thai food addict and swear to grab it every time before I hit the interstate leaving Missoula. I live in a town without good Thai food and so I love grabbing a few dishes from them after my visits home. Their ginger chicken and eggrolls especially are truly what dreams are made of! The food is great, always fresh, and so full of flavor! Don’t do like I did the last few years and miss out on this place! 12/10 from me!
