While the food itself tasted fine, the amount of grease was excessive and hard to ignore. I don’t understand how anyone could pack this and think it was okay to send out. Very disappointed.
I literally witnessed an employee pull a pizza out of the oven with their bare hands—no gloves—then touch and slide it around to cut it. Food safety and temperatures were clearly not a priority. The place itself looked dirty, and one staff member seemed more interested in their phone than helping customers.
As for the pizza, it was a disaster. The 16-inch cheese pizza we ordered was so thin in the center that it stuck to the cardboard because it was soggy and flimsy. Meanwhile, the dough was all concentrated around the edges, leaving almost nothing in the middle. The 10” thin and crispy was bland, like a frozen disc that after a four minute car ride it was flimsy and disgusting.
This was an absolutely horrible $65 experience. If the owner still has passion for this business, it’s definitely time for intervention.
However, I’m sorry to the delivery driver for the tip. I thought I had more cash on me than I did.
The owner was very friendly and provided excellent service. Pizza was really good and at a great price compared to others in town. Probably the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a long while. They definitely put the customers first over themselves. All in all a great place to eat!
-I order pizza in the Slice app
-It says the order is on the way
-20 minutes AFTER it’s “on the way” I call to verify and they say yeah it’ll be on the next delivery. It happens, more frequently lately, but okay.
-An additional 35 minutes later I call and they say, “we’re busy, we have 20 delivery orders, it’ll go out on the next run.”
-I ask if I can pick it up, get put on hold, then yeah I can pick it up
-I get there and they hand me $50 worth of dry pizza and a 32oz ranch (dairy) that’s WARMER THAN THE PIZZA and been sitting out for over an hour!
-They switch out the ranch after I complain, but don’t offer any apology or even to refund the tip I left for the driver that NEVER DELIVERED MY PIZZA.
-Moreover, there were only 3 orders on the oven and the workers were all sitting around!
-I say to the guy “come on man, this is not okay, especially for over $50”
-A girl butts in and says “we were busy, I don’t know what to tell you.”
-I say, “Surely that’s not the best response.”
-She replies, “I just work here dude.”
-I tell her, “If you’re not going to be helpful then just don’t say anything.” She turns and GLARES AT ME until I leave
That’s as helpful and apologetic as Padrones can possibly be apparently. Someone really needs to address the attitudes and quality of service. I will never return. Not going to tip or frequent a place that accepts such a low bar for behavior. The sub-4 stars should have been an indicator I suppose. Go to Coopers or East.
