Padrino’s is our go to place for special occasions. We love to celebrate our anniversaries and birthdays there. It’s also a great place to take family from out of town. Or even clients for a celebratory dinner.
The food is always fantastic and the portions are sized perfectly. The service never fails to impress and the atmosphere is always quiet with the perfect lighting.

On suggestion from our awesome waitress Ashley I ordered the spicy seafood dish and overall it was quite tasty, however, one of the mussels was dead, something I was surprised the kitchen missed as it wasn’t a straight-up mussel dish. The chef sent out a plate of mussels in tomato sauce as an apology, which was a nice thing to do. I suppose I shouldn’t complain too much about the quality of the mussels, being in the middle of the prairies and all but they weren’t up to par. They tasted old and were very, very small. Would like to see a little more balsamic and oil too, even though it was free, there was barely enough for 3 pieces of bread.
Wasn’t much of a fan of the Tiramisu, found it slightly bland.
Best part of the meal was the shrimp. In every dish they were succulent, plump, and delicious.

Easily the best restaurant we have been to in town. If you want to get all dressed up and go for a date night highly recommended. Our waitress Ashly was a superstar. How can anyone give this spot less than 5 stars is appalling.

Came for my friend’s birthday tonight and unfortunately ended up waiting much longer than expected. We arrived at 6:30 PM and didn’t leave until 9 PM due to delays with our food. I completely understand the holiday season and staff parties make things busy, but if that’s the case, there should be more staff scheduled on the floor.
Drinks took quite a while to arrive, my friend’s mushroom caps never came, and our main courses took over an hour before reaching the table. The food itself was delicious once it arrived, though my friend did mention her prime rib was cold.
I wanted to share this as honest feedback because the experience had potential to be great, but the wait times and service really took away from the evening.

Very nice and quiet Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and the scenery I could see was appealing.
I had the veal dish with pasta and vegetables and a side of asparagus. The food was terrific, especially the veal! Probably the best veal I’ve ever experienced.
The prices are also very reasonable for the outstanding quality. I’d much rather pay $30 on an exquisite dish here than $30 on a half decent burger at some other places…

We arrived less than an hour before closing and had prompt service. Our food was amazing (the lasagna was some of the best I’ve ever had). The restaurant is attached a hotel but has a more upscale intimate ambiance for a great date night. The only thing stopping this from being a five star review is the cocktails. We ordered to Blue Hawaiian and the Red Devil which both didn’t taste great. I would definitely return for the food but skip the cocktails next time.

We recently went for a birthday party. Our appetizers were cold. We waited an hour for our food and the drinks were sub par. The main was cold and oversalted. A few from our party were sick the next day. Overall not a good experience for the price.

In GP for work and it was recommended to come here. Was not disappointed! My server (Jimmy) suggested the rose sauce on my pasta and it was delicious! Will definitely come back when I’m in town again.

Was excited about trying the place, and perhaps I ordered the wrong dishes but everything I had was extremely bland and flavorless… a ceaser salad with zero garlic is such a heart break, and had the mussels and they were just in a watery flavorless sauce. So sad.

My great server brought three pieces of bread for dipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil…super tasty…I ordered the Caesar salad: I had a half order but it was the size of some establishment’s regular size – delicious. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, also excellent…I haven’t been here in a while but when I’m next in Grande Prairie, I’ll eat there!
