As I attempt to sample everything there is to offer at the Oakley Kitchen Food Hall, I recently had some pizza from Padrino. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this is the same business that I have previously visited in Milford years ago, and they have a spot in Ft. Thomas as well. The menus are different at each, but you will always find some excellent pizza offerings.
Orders are placed at the counter and prepared quickly to order. My son and I started with some garlic knots (4 for $4) which were a great way to kick things off! He also enjoyed the cheese pizza with a house-made marina ($9 for 10″). I ordered the drunken goat pizza, with a vodka rose sauce base, goat cheese, bacon, fresh mushrooms, capicola, and a cheese blend ($14.50 for 10″). This was outstanding and a really great combination of flavors. At the Oakley Kitchen Food Hall, Padrino offers a few appetizers, salads, pastas, and sandwiches, but their specialty pizzas are where they shine!

I had the chicken parmesan sandwich and garlic knots. The chicken parm sandwich was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was using grilled chicken instead of breaded. The melted cheese, tomato sauce, and chicken paired perfectly with a toasted hoagie roll that had the perfect amount of crunch. I do think the garlic knots could have been better. They had a crescent like texture to them that actually left me wanting something more doughy.

Flavor was delicious but wasn’t heated up enough. It was done in 5 mins but the middle of the tortellini was just slightly warm. It was very good warmed up later so I will give this place another chance.

Service was great and food was delicious! I am VERY picky about meatballs and have been looking for a place that has a descent one, this place exceeded my expectations on the meatball hoagie! I will definitely be back!
