Paddy’s is a great place for good food, great drinks and the best service. Their library wall of liquor is impressive, seems to have everything you could want with every whisky option under the sun. Their semi-private conference room is an excellent spot to host your large group or a high top near the bar for a smaller party. The menu was VERY tempting, specifically the Scotch Egg looked amazing! Service is what I really came here to review- MALIA is an absolute rock star. She is attentive, kind, professional and all around a pleasure to talk to. She kept our dishes cleared, the drinks coming and had great suggestions for happy hour before it ended. Thank you Malia for taking care of our group and providing the best experience overall. We will definitely be back!

If you want to eat, apparently don’t go here on a Saturday. Everything was borderline inedible. The pretzel starter was raw and mushy and the mustard was bitter like it wasn’t fully fermented and smelled like they used horseradish in it (which could be good to someone). My partner got a shepherds pie and it was bland and according to him tasted like the lighter fluid that they used to torch/burn the top of the potatoes. I got a Reuben and it was incredibly greasy and the fries were coated in so much powdery salt that they tasted bitter. I couldn’t stand to eat much of it, but we were traveling and it cost like $60 so we tried to eat what we could. It wasn’t the WORST thing I have ever tried but I will NEVER go back when we visit the city again. Our waiter was kind and kept our water filled. Midway through the meal they asked about the food and I shook my head and they said great and walked away so I assume they were busy. When we went to pay, I let them know the food was really bad and that I wasn’t asking for free anything, just letting them know it was bad. They did give a 10% discount and said that management knew about the food issue but hasn’t fixed it. The discount was a good gesture, but honestly, I would have just preferred edible food. Apparently it is an issue specific to a couple chefs. I hope for everyone’s sake that management works on quality with those employees because this was atrocious.
Also the music was really loud for the number of people in the restaurant at 5:45. It was all 1990-2000 white people top 50 and it wasn’t really offensive but it leant the bar no ambiance. It was giving Bennigans (derogatory).

I love Irish Pubs and found this place on a trip out to Portland that was close to my hotel. Walked down around 8PM to get a Guinness and some food. There was one other group of people there, so decided to belly up to the bar to watch the end of the MNF game. Both the bartenders were friendly and chatted with me as they were prepping to close. There are plenty of drinks to choose from, but I stuck with my Guinness (perfect pour) and ordered the Bangers & Mash (bartender recommended over Fish & Chips). This combo was perfect and plenty to eat.

It’s definitely one of our favorite spots while visiting the West Coast. Paddy staff, food, and atmosphere were perfect. The drinks and food were great and the people were amazing. They know how to make you feel like a local. We chose this restaurant/bar because they serve Scotch eggs. My husband said it was the best he had ever had. We definitely recommend this place.

Wow I cannot wait to come back here! The vibes are great, it’s very much a traditional Irish pub, with great ambiance and decor. I got the Irish Mule, which was fantastic and super cheap at only $11. To eat I got the pretzel with beer cheese and the buffalo caeser wrap with fries. ALL of the food I got was amazing and so tasty, even the fries were some of the best fries I’ve had. Overall, highly recommend this place!

We recently stumbled upon the oldest Irish pub in Portland, and it was a truly delightful experience! They offer a fantastic selection of spirits, making it easy to find your favorite drink. Plus, it’s incredibly convenient to get to via TriMet, which is always a big plus for us. We were happy to find that there was plenty of seating available, even during a busy time. This bar offers the unique experience of sitting at the bar and enjoying the view of the various liquor bottles on display. The staff sometimes climb a ladder to retrieve bottles and serve drinks as per customers’ requests. I tried the food a while back, and it was rather ordinary, but I often visit to enjoy Guinness beer or Irish coffee. Compared to Kells, this place offers a slightly different atmosphere, and personally, I prefer it.
