The red curry was completely tasteless — no depth, barely even salt — and mostly just vegetables with very little gravy or protein. We don’t order curry to eat plain veggies.
The Pad Thai used to be enough for two to share; now it’s barely just enough filling for one person and has very little chicken. Even the condensed milk roti had a little brush of condensed milk and mostly dry. Portions seem really reduced but the prices are going in the opposite direction.
Disappointing, especially when many other Calgary restaurants still serve generous portions with proper flavour and protein. We hope they bring back their original standards.
My friend and I ordered: Pad Thai, crispy wontons, chicken satay, and Lucky Monster (spicy crispy chicken).
All of it was amazing.
I make an effort to try this place every time I visit Calgary. Highly recommended!
ขอบคุณมาก !!
Would order these again:
Rock and Roll – really good we ordered a follow up after we wolfed down the first plate
Lucky Monster – it’s boneless fried chicken and if you like lemon pepper wings you’d like this one too.
Tom Yum Goong – the broth was creamy and done well.
Drunken prawns – I was hoping it would be similar to Lotus of Siam’s garlic prawns. They’re not, but they’re still very good. The eggplants that go with the prawns was a nice touch.
The banana roti dessert – really good, it reminded me of Filipino turon but with crispy roti instead of lumpia wrapper
Pork fried rice – good flavour and texture
The kids really liked their drunken noodle – spicy and flavourful.
The house noodles, pad Thai, pandan chicken and yellow curry chicken, mango sticky rice were okay, not bad at all but not our faves.
When we go back we will definitely order our faves again and try the pad se ew, one of the fish dishes, and maybe another type of fried rice.
We ordered some cold and hot drinks too and the table liked the lemongrass tea.
Amazing service as well. Really happy with our experience.
It’s decorated beautifully and the service was outstanding. I have to be careful about gluten, but they had a good amount of options for gluten free.
I got calamari, crying tiger and coconut ice cream.
We also shared pad Thai and the papaya salad.
I could never find a place that makes it better than my mom. I will say it was just as good.
All in all, it became one of my favourite places. Can’t wait to come back.
We’ll be back.
This place is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Calgary. The Pad Thai was super tasty, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. Every dish we tried was fresh and delicious.
The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Service was quick and they checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed.
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to — highly recommend if you love good Thai food!
