If you’re visiting Kauai and craving authentic Hispanic food, Pacho’s Tacos is a must-stop. We found it randomly while exploring, and it ended up being one of the best meals we had on the island.
The fish plate was incredible — perfectly cooked with a great blend of fresh, bold flavors that really stood out. The burrito was solid as well, packed generously and full of flavor. Honestly, it felt like I was back in San Diego with the quality and taste.
If you’re visiting from outside the state and missing good Mexican food, you’ll definitely appreciate this spot.

This food was great! Our family stopped in on our way to Salt Pond Beach for lunch and it was delicious. It was reasonably priced and decent portion sizes.

Quaint spot for mexican food in a convenient location. I got the fish taco and the surf n’ turf burrito with a hibiscus water. My only complaint is that the texture of the burrito was odd. If I hadn’t looked inside I never would have been able to guess that there was any sort of meat inside it. None of the the soft meatiness you’d expect from such a dish. The hibiscus water was refreshing, good for someone looking for a less sweet beverage with a subtle fruitiness. Service was good and the establishment itself was charming.

A cute little taco stand advertising “authentic Mexican food” located just off the main highway in Hanapepe (although I think there are other locations elsewhere on the island).
On a Monday at 11:45 we were the only customers and each ordered two tacos, fish and carnitas. You order at the window and they call you when the food is ready. There are a handful of picnic tables scattered around the taco shack or get the food to go.
The fish taco was good, but the pork with big chunks of tender pork was fantastic-highly recommended. They were pretty quick and reasonably priced with tacos around $7 each.

I’m glad I asked for extra meat because there wasn’t going to be enough regular meat. Light on the beans. The taste was good no complaints there. 28 bucks for a burrito, sprite and chips.

We really enjoyed the food here. Excellent flavor. Reasonable for Kauai price. The horchata was a bit too sweet. The seating a bit rough and low to comfortably eat. Staff was nice. We got our food almost immediately. We will likely come back.

After a very satisfying surf day with my son on the west side, obviously…fish tacos were next! Well, we found the place for you! Simple, authentic, very colorful, great price point, and damn good food!!! Those carnitas fries… Wow the food was hot, the taste was spot on, and that seafood burrito was incredible! I’ve never had one before, nor heard of. A must have!! And their pork!?!? Get yourself some! Great location, as you’re going to pass it en route from south to west shore anyway, so stop. You’ll be glad ya did

We tried the taco plate and the surf and turf burrito both were delicious. The rice and beens were OK highly recommend trying the tiki punch. Parking is limited, do not block the entrance behind the shack.
