Warning: we knew this but pickings are slim for food in Switzerland on a Sunday. So that’s why we ate Mexican food in Lucerne even though dozens of these places where we live. It was all right. It was expensive but everything is there. The server was kind and lovely. Certainly a good enough option for a meal when you have few choices, but next time I think I’ll look for the after hours fondue. 🙂

All we got were large nachos and they are about $25US. Just chips and cheese with a small side of guacamole and sour cream. The beer was cold and the server was great. Just don’t expect much from the food.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Luzern. Tried 3 of their cocktails and 3 different dishes on different occasions. By far, the pork ribs were the best!!! Juicy and tender yum!
The salads are good too if you’re looking to eat light, but if you are adventurous, definitely try out the pork ribs!
Atmosphere is lovely and lively there. Service is fine, I never had a problem with any of the staff.

Food was good, not Mexican food though. More American food than Mexican. Portion sizes are large and this place is EXTREMELY expensive. Our meal the prior night with bottle of wine and fondue was cheaper. Recommended just sharing an entree between two, dont need any appetizers entree portion sizes are very large. Good food, but nothing authentic and very expensive for what it is.

Spontaneously planned a dinner while we were in Luzern…. Were. Not. Dissappointed. The place has amzaing cocktail selection to start with. Had a pornstar martini. With regards to the food, the portions are large and tasty. All in all, would recommend and bring more friends to experience the place and its hospitality.

I’m from California and was craving traditional Mexican food..This place.claims to use authentic recipes from Mexico. I can 100% guarantee you that no dishes in this place come even remotely close to authentic Mexican food. They serve baked potatoes as a Mexican dish if that give you a hint. We ordered a chicken burrito 2 chicken enchiladas, and 1 carne asada When the food came out it was presented and immediately the stench hit out noses. The food smelled like vomit left over from a college fraternity party. It was absolutely putrid. I googled and found out that this place uses Raclette cheese in their dishes. I don’t want to shred this place too much, as I’m the one visiting this beautiful country, but wow, I guess Raclette just doesn’t do it for me. It definitely does not belong in “traditional” Mexican food dishes. I even asked my wife if I we were getting pranked. It was that bad. But as the dishes continued to come out for other guests the smell grew stronger and stronger. The looks on our faces must’ve been obvious. My entire family went outside as I waited to pay the check in misery. Our server was nice though. This place is also very expensive! I paid $350 US dollars for basically 4 margaritias and 4 plates of digusting food. Gross, I almost vomited just thinking about the food as I wrote this. Please don’t go here if you seek real Mexican food! You will be very disappointed.

Everything in Lucerne is expensive; this place at least provided good sized portions for the price. A good family option for those looking to manage the hit to the holiday budget. The food was nice if rather plain – I enjoyed my nachos and quesadillas. The margarita was solid. Excellent service.

Looking for a change up in food variety so we opted for Mexican food, yes in Switzerland. I saw they had a good hamburgers menu but I felt it was an injustice to have a burger in a Mexican restaurant. We started with chips and salsa for $11 francs and it was somewhat stale and under salted. The main dishes visually had appeal, ordered fajitas chicken and beef and quesada del pollo. Each dish had sides one was guacamole but it was not “real” avocado, the flavor was horrible and I love avocados. We’re not sure what sauce was used to marinate both our dishes the smell is not what I would consider a Mexican flavor, I was happy when the staff took away our plates. I noticed on the menu several dishes were made with peanut sauce? The high point was Monica our server she was very pleasant and engaging and beers were good.

Starving and Seeking Sombreros in Lucerne
After a long journey, we arrived in Lucerne, famished and craving Mexican food. Luckily, we stumbled upon a restaurant just two blocks from our last-minute hotel. Though we didn’t have a reservation, the friendly host was able to seat us immediately.
To our delight, the restaurant was in full Halloween spirit, just like back home in the United States. It was a fun surprise to see the waiters with their faces creatively painted and hear the festive chatter of other diners celebrating the holiday.
