We originally were sat inside even though I requested a table outside in our reservation. I looked around outside and it was very busy but I could see one table available. I went to the hostess and asked politely to be moved outside and that we would happily wait if need be. They checked on a couple things and accommodated us right away. The atmosphere was much better outside. The view and weather were perfect, especially since we were postioned right behind some acrylic glass to block the wind. My partner and I shared the Hamachi crudo and crab cakes as appetizers and then the branzino and mashed potatoes as our entree. Our appetizers were better than the entree. Everything tasted good, however, it was all a little boring. I could be biased after working in fine dining for years, including fine dining seafood in Santa Monica. We ordered the bon bon, and the mocha semifredo for dessert. The semifredo was delicious and I understand why there’s so many pictures and reviews about it.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant in all areas: Staff, Service, and Cuisine. Bonus points for an exceptional ocean view. One of the managers Joe was specifically very helpful during our late lunch. We enjoyed so many menu items during our visit. Ambiance was relaxed but still upscale. Restaurant has easy access to a parking garage and is located on the main street through Del Mar so it’s easy to get to. Lovely place and we will definitely be back.

Food was good, but a little pricey for the serving size. It looks like this place is popular with the locals.

Excellent seafood, served in a nice setting. The prices are commensurate with the location (downtown Del Mar) and the freshness. The choices of the fresh fish were quite wide and the preparations were well done as well. We got four different dishes in our group and they were all very good. The main complaint was a slight under seasoning. All the sauces that accompanied the dishes were also good, but some more of each would have been good.

Pacifica is a great place for lunch or dinner. We had a view of the ocean on a beautiful day. The service was attentive and professional. The crab cakes were just ok but the calamari was perfect with two interesting dipping sauces. I felt the prices for the quantity of food is a bit high. The serving of fish was at least 20% smaller than our last visit a year ago. The cocktails are first rate.

Service was nice. Restaurant view was great! But I don’t have any compliments for the food. The batter of the calamari fell off. The tiger shrimp dish was very very bland. Shrimps were overcooked as well. I think >50% of the price I paid contributed to the nice restaurant location.

Love their Salmon, one of the best but it’s really the Atmosphere you are paying for which is amazing.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Such a nice ambiance and beautiful ocean view. They have a great drink selection, the menu is small but nicely curated. Not sure there was many vegetarian options unfortunately. I got the sea bass and it was delicious, probably the best fish I’ve ever had, it was so flavorful and tender. The waitress was amazing, she was so nice and helpful. We got a lemon tart for dessert and it was delicious. It was pretty expensive but worth it.
