However, I have to say the food itself was fantastic. The Tofu Thai Curry was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the food, but only plan on visiting if you are prepared for takeout
They door says take out only, but if yiu call on a slow night yiu can dine in. MUST TRY.
I’ve had a lot of chicken pad Thai in my day and this is arguably one of the most MEH versions of this I’ve ever had. Mine is very sweet with absolutely no spice or redeeming characteristics. It didn’t come with any accoutrements outside of some chopped peanuts and the most useless wedge of lime. The color is so similar between the noodles and the chicken that it’s actually off-putting. I would 100% not recommend this dish to anyone.
The crispy honey chicken was Crispy and honey and chicken. Honestly it took me back to when I was a kid ordering chicken mcnuggets and dunking them in the little to go canisters of honey. It’s very tasty and 1 order is perfect for 2 or even 3 kids to split; again very generous w their portions.
The sesame chicken was very sweet but provided a nice flavor profile and the way they fry these result in a much better chew to them than the Crispy honey chicken; if you’re going back forth between the two go with the Sesame chicken. It’s a no fuss, sweet, chicken dish that any person would enjoy.
The green curry with chicken was very good and very generous with their sizing. The curry wasn’t super spicy but in general provided a nice flavor. The chicken and veggies were good and the white rice was cooked well. Overall this was the best dish I’ve had from here and I’d absolutely recommend getting this dish.
Egg rolls were very good. These were delivered to us and still had a decent crunch(though couldn’t hold a candle to the spring rolls). The flavor was wonderful and layered and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
Spring rolls, even when delivered, provided an excellent crisp. The flavors were wonderful and I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised with how great these were.
The summer rolls are refreshing, large and in general a win by most standards. They don’t come w the typical peanut sauce but whatever they came with was delicious (just use sparingly or you’ll only taste it)
Lastly, the fried rice is very plain-Jane. No fills and frills here, no peas, carrots, etc. Just rice and maybe some egg. Overall it’s okay with some decent umami but nothing great.
I probably would NOT order from here again
The Pad Thai was not edible and thrown out immediately. The noodles were not cooked and were hard. The taste was not good.
The twice cooked pork was salty and mostly cabbage as seen in this picture. For those who want volume and not concerned with taste, good choice. I was surprised that it was not spicy at all despite the spicy designation.
The spring roll was just OK.
Very disappointing food given that it is take out only. Perhaps it is because the menu is so large they can’t prepare great food and are ok with just average to below average because their clientele accepts just OK. Will NOT be back.
This is my first tie visiting this restaurent but had great time. I will sure return to Pacific Spice ❤️
