The steak selection was basically fried onions, very little steak. The grilled chicken was plentiful,, yet, lukewarm. They had crab legs that were completely fried up. The turkey was sitting in a base of water, thus tasteless and cold. They had a seafood combo dishes, lukewarm and without much flavor. The vocabulary shrimp, though not hot, had some flavor to it.
The steam vegetable were sitting in lukewarm water, base, thus tasteless, the rice dishes, both white and fried were lukewarm.
The mash potatoes were are thick and tasteless as paste. Had to be fro a box. These were in no way, fresh mash potatoes.
The whole mushrooms were fresh and hot.
The corn in the cob tasted old, hard and was lukewarm. The green beans, although looked fresh, were lukewarm.
I could go in, but, why bother. It appears this business has decided to cut food cost/quality with no reflection on the cost to eat there.
We have been going there off and on for years. However, after paying $45.00 for two people to eat which what turned out to a substandard experience. We will not be returning.
They had a few soups. The chowder looked older than the Won Ton or Hot and Sour.
Lots of healthy choices in the salad area and a few premade salads. They have toppings and dressings to go along with the salad.
If you like fruits there are lots of choices as well. Fresh pineapple, watermelon and others. If you like dessert they have some sweet options including a good selection of ice cream and cakes.
What was even more concerning was that staff were actively cleaning around and over the food while guests were still trying to eat and serve themselves. It made the environment feel rushed and uncomfortable, like customers were an inconvenience rather than welcome.
I understand that restaurants prepare to close, but if you’re still open and accepting customers, the food quality and dining experience should be maintained until closing time. Sadly, this visit did not meet expectations.
Food – Lo Mein had a weird funky taste to it if you could get past it being cold. The bbq pork was rock hard. Mac and Cheese was cold, even the spoon to get it out was cold to touch. The clams…well, what place, not just a buffet..has clams and doesn’t have/wont give you melted butter…The only good part about the meal was the chicken with broccoli and the sweet n sour chicken.
Overall…I don’t see the hype behind this place. Food was subpar, the waitress was..well, I can’t say because she was never around until I was ready to leave.
