if i could give this place a 0 stars i would. not only if their food disgusting, not authentic and extremely over priced for what you’re getting. these people has admitted they are “neutral” as to what’s going on in the state of MN at this moment. they profit off of our beautiful Mexican culture and cuisine but can’t stand for them and turn their heads to the very real horror the whole Latino community is facing right now. Bravis, La Flor de Jalisco and Dan Ramon restaurants are all a couple minutes from this trash place and MUCH better service, quality and vibes. You’re welcome 🙂

Very pleasant experience! Although the restaurant was busy the food was prompt and delicious. Server was very conscientious of possible sources of gluten cross contamination. Food was very reasonably priced and serving was generous. Lots of gluten free options on the separate gluten free menu (can be found on the website as well). Make sure you don’t eat chips until you ensure they are the gluten free ones. We couldn’t have the queso due to some cross contamination concerns and server suggested the six layer dip and we were not disappointed! No issues after. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone with gluten allergies or celiac disease.

I grew up eating here for family meals quite frequently as my grandparents knew Paul. The fried ice cream was always my favorite as a kid. The decor is bold and playful. Excellent mexican food. Try the Seafood Cancun on the weekends. It is AMAZING.

I The food and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful — everything came out hot, flavorful, and well-prepared. The restaurant itself has a great vibe and we really enjoyed the overall setting.

Unfortunately, our experience with our server did put a bit of a damper on the evening. Our waitress (taller, on the thicker side, blonde hair) seemed somewhat disengaged and gave the impression that she was annoyed to be serving our table. There was only three of us.
Each time we tried to answer her questions about food or drinks, she would walk away before we could finish responding, which was frustrating since we were planning on ordering additional items a few times.

Other than that, the food was fantastic and we would definitely consider returning — hopefully with a more attentive experience next time

Lunch was amazing. Shrimp bowl and a margarita. And don’t forget the salsa and chips are a favorite while you wait!

Tried the Birria Tacos! Very good! The waitress was very attentive to my cilantro reaction needs as asked when ordering. She went back to check with the kitchen! So sweet!

So we haven’t been here in over 3 years, and before it was our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Minnesota. Well I can’t say that anymore. We asked to be seated outside and the Hostess said I wouldn’t to many bees out there. I didn’t see any, so we sat inside anyways. Super awesome server. The food not so much. The rice was bland and the beans were dry. And the biggest disappointment was when our server said “you get one basket of chips” if you want more that will be $5.00. Wait what? Really? You want to charge me $5.00 for “stale chips” Never have I ever heard this before, my family owned a Mexican restaurant for years and I have eaten at so many Mexican restaurants all over the Country and I have never heard of this before. I mean I get it if I’m just here for a drink and you don’t want me to make a meal out of your chips, but I came here for dinner. Sad we won’t be back.

Pablo’s has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Shakopee. Helpful, friendly, and attentive staff (big shout-out to Cassandra S today!), and delicious food. Even better: delicious gluten-free food! They have gluten-free chips! And an entire gluten-free menu. I ordered the enchiladas (lunch with one side pictured). Absolutely hit the spot! The restaurant is a little dark, which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. It does make for an intimate meal, though, whether a date or group or dining alone.

Going have to give this place a 1. We went to eat here a night last week. The food was overcooked and both my daughter’s qesadillas and my enchiladas were actually baked to the plate! We’ll stick with El Toro from now on.
