Fresh, Flavorful, and Worth It!

The food here is absolutely delicious; fresh, flavorful, and satisfying! The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. I’d definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again!

I came here with my wife and family, and we all absolutely loved the food. Everything was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor just what you’d expect from great Venezuelan and Mexican cuisine. We tried the empanadas, enchiladas, and a few other dishes, and every single one was perfectly prepared. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, perfect for a family meal. We’ll definitely be coming back soon highly recommended!

We ordered a bunch of churros for takeout to bring to a party and they’ll were delicious!! I arrived a little early for pickup and they were still making them fresh for us 🙂 while waiting everyone was very nice and talked with me while I was waiting. I saw some Venezuelan flan in the cooler up front and bought a slice to go and they’ll said they made it fresh that day and it was one of the best flans I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items, thank you!!

Being unsure what to order (but everything looked delicious) my mother and I asked our pleasant server a TON of questions- and he helped us choose the best items! This place is SO GOOD -I was shocked to find a place this amazing right in Banksville road (which is a halfway point to meet my mother. ). I wish I had the servers name so I could shout him out but he was so helpful and the food was to die for. He was working at open this past Tuesday. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I was nearby and stopped in for something sweet and left with a sigh. It’s not the expression on my face, it’s a crunchy sweet yet smooth on the palate. The service was very good. I left completely sweetened.

Meat in the cachapa was a bit dry but otherwise it was pretty good. Didn’t get a pic of the arepa but it was delicious and fresh. We’ll have to come back to try the churros and empanadas.

Pabellon restaurant serves lunch and dinner for dining in, takeout, delivery, and catering. The menu lists appetizers, arepas, empanadas, Venezuelan main courses, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks. Many vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

For four years, my husband and I have dined here. We recommend the tortilla chips with queso and guacamole, the beef empanada, pabellon empanada, chicken arepa, chicken quesadilla, veggie quesadilla, chicken and pork soft tacos, plaintains, and tres leches. The only food that I thought was just OK was the seafood empanada.

I recently discovered that I love Venezuelan food. I’ve been here a while ago, and someone I know recommends this place. I got the chicken empanada, shredded beef empanada, and a cachapa.

First with the empanadas…these could very well be the best empanadas in Pittsburgh. The meat is just amazing. The shredded chicken is incredible flavorful and the texture is on point too. It’s got just a bit of sweetness, a little smokiness, just delicious. The outer shell for these little empanadas is also great.

The beef empanada was very good too. The meat is seasoned very well and it’s not too fatty. Again, super flavorful and quite large for just a few dollars. The sauce they serve with it comes in a somewhat small container, but it’s pretty good. It had a slight cucumber-like flavor to it.

The cachapa here is quite good, but I still prefer Cilantro and Ajo’s. Again, the meat is amazing. If you eat meat, order something with lots of protein and you won’t be disappointed. The corn surrounding the meat was good, but was just missing something. I do like that you can see the kernels of corn though. The cheese was pretty standard but seemed to be high quality.

All in all, very good Venezuelan food. I’d definitely come back. I also want to try their tres leches or churros. The meat and empanadas are what you must get from here!
