If you’re looking for a spot in Glendale that serves comfort food with soul, Paapaii BBQ needs to be on your list. This place delivers rich Armenian and Georgian flavors with generous portions, beautiful plating, and that warm “grandma’s kitchen” energy.
We were actually the second party to get seated, and two parties arrived after us — but somehow, we were the last to receive our food. It wasn’t a huge issue, but definitely something to be aware of during busy hours.
Paapaii BBQ has generous portions, fresh ingredients, and soulful flavors. Even with the slower service, the food was delicious enough to make the meal memorable. If you enjoy Armenian or Georgian cuisine — or just want something hearty and flavorful — this Glendale spot is worth trying.

This place was a huge disappointment. We ordered two kharcho soups, and the total came out to over $60. The portions were very small, and there was almost no meat in the soup at all. It’s honestly hard to understand what you are paying $60 for.
The quality and value simply do not match the price. The food was not satisfying, and the portions felt unfair for how expensive everything is. After leaving, we were still hungry and ended up going to a regular American steakhouse, where you actually get decent portion sizes for the money you pay.
This is an experience I will never repeat. The kitchen was very disappointing, and the restaurant is extremely overpriced for what it offers. I would not recommend this place.

Beautiful location, service/people and experience. If you’d like to try some Armenian food , I’d recommend Papaii BBQ. They have good appetizers and also larger portions for party size also. They have pastries , teas, coffee and various drinks. Overall, a high quality experience thats budget friendly and convenient for family and friends. Thank you, I hope my review helps you.

I had a great time at this place trying their Spas and Special Kebabs. The kebabs were great, definitely a must-try. As for the Spas, it not only tasted amazing but was also served with such style. The place had a cool vibe, and I had a pleasant time there. Totally recommend it to everyone!

Visited this place for a lunch, just amazed how tasty is the good. Loooved tomato omelet, tastes like in Armenia. The rest of the food was also tasty and they have a nice atmosphere as well. Coffee at the end was a must. Highly recommended .
