Food was delicious, especially the locally sourced meat. GB Smash and Steamboat burger were great. Our friends had biscuits and gravy and goober smash wich they also enjoyed. Customer service was polite and friendly. All around really good little diner with great food with historic roots.

I grew up in the Sheridan area. I came back for a family visit and my mother and I ate at Flagstaff today. The food was good and the atmosphere is quaint, welcoming and clean.
My issue is with our server, Tammy C. Here is a list of why I will never eat here again, thanks to Tammy.
1. When we walked in and were seated, Tammy had 2 tables- but it still took her 10 minutes to take our order, because she was seated at another customers’ table and was engrossed in conversation with them.
2. Mid way through our meal, sge attempted to take my mother’s plate- while she was still eating from it. She was super anxious for us to leave, which is interesting, because it was about ten minutes past one, and the café closes at 2. Another customer was sat at the table next to us moments later, and she moved him to another section with the excuse that they were about to close. After this, she went and sat at a customers table again.
3. When she brought us the check, it was the wrong check. When we called her to the table, she immediately argued that it was the correct check. It wasnt. So she brought us the correct check, and completely ignored us when we tried to pay.
We paid cash, she waved her hand and instructed us to leave it at our table- because she was so engrossed in chatting with other customers.
You ended up with a .70 cent tip, Tammy. It was painful for me to do that. I was a server for over 20 years. That is the lowest amount of money Ive EVER tipped in my life. And you earned it.
To the owner of this charming business- I really enjoyed your place. I love the decor, I loved the Cowboy Sandwich I had today. I DIDN’T love Tammy C. The ONLY reason I even gave you a 3 star is because of the food quality and atmosphere- because Tammy gives a 1 star experience. She is a serious detriment. Such a shame.

Nice lunch in a cute historic building. We both ordered grilled cheese. I had Swiss on Rye w/potato salad (tasted homemade) and my husband had cheddar on sour dough with a cup of chili (he liked and it was not spicy). Service was quick and good. If you are walking the town, give this Cafe a stop. We think you’ll enjoy.

An absolutely adorable breakfast nook steeped in town history. Oddly enough also a cigar retailer. After this we decided we wanted to travel the US and ONLY EAT in diners built before 1920. Old US establishments such is this are such a crucial part of the American fabric
