Appetizer :Egg flower soup.
Entree 1: Chang’s Spicy Chicken over white rice.
Entree 2: Orange Chicken over fried rice.
Food was tasty; both entrees were served very quickly, but the food was warm at best, and portions were big kid-size, not adult-size. Overall review: disappointed with the food — good deal, but didn’t compare to the always fresh Panda Express meals.
The main reason I stopped going to P.F. Changs 10 years ago was because of mediocrity, and giving them a chance in 2025, the mediocrity of the food is the reason I won’t go back. I mentioned the mediocrity of the food and the portions to my wife, and she agreed.
This place was empty when we went on a Saturday evening, and that’s pretty much unheard of for most restaurants in Bakersfield. After dinner, when I drove by the Panda Express, the drive-thru was full.
I’m not quite sure what P.F. Changs should do, but serving the customer warm chicken and rice when there are only five or six couples in the whole restaurant isn’t the best business practice to keep them coming in.
The staff on all levels—from the greeter, server, waiter, and bartender—were all outstanding.
Just to compare, a hot three-item combo at Panda Express will run you about $14, and the food is always good, and so much easier.
A sit-down dinner at a beautiful establishment like P.F. Chang’s for under $20 is a great price point; however, the food has to be at least good.
Overall: 3 out of 5.

We recently dined at this P.F. Chang’s for the first time, and our experience was outstanding. With a reservation, we were seated promptly within five minutes. The menu items we selected were excellent—particularly the ribs and the exceptional peanut butter dessert, which stood out as highlights of the meal.
Although there was a minor error with one of our sides (noodles were served in place of rice), the staff resolved it immediately by providing freshly prepared fried rice, ultimately allowing us to enjoy both dishes.
Our evening was especially memorable thanks to our server, Angelina. She was professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the evening. She also introduced us to the rewards program—something no one had mentioned to us before—which provided a 10% discount and a complimentary order of edamame.
Overall, the combination of excellent food, efficient service, and Angelina’s thoughtful care made our first visit a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.

From the time we ordered to the time our appetizers arrived it was 16 minutes. Or drinks did arrive quicker than the 16 minutes. About the 21 minute mark, our entrees arrived. The food was delicious and the portions were generous like advertised. For 5 adults and 3 kids our bill was $181.17. This included a 20% tip. It was added to our bill (I do not agree with restaurants adding a Tip. I believe a Tip should be based on the quality of the food and service). I would of disputed the tip however, my toddler started to have an outburst. I took outside to calm him down. By the time we started heading back inside my wife’s had paid. I need to look into this automatic adding of a tip by restaurants. The server was good.

First time trying them out, came in for lunch. We came a perfect time, around noon, wasn’t to busy, but bout 10 minutes after we sat down they got really busy. Staff was very friendly and helpful, since was first visit, we had questions. I ended up with the lunch special, fried rice, with orange chicken and an egg roll. Food was really good. The over all theme and vibe of the restaurant was cool, definitely a good place to come with a group. Will definitely be back again, and recommend it as well.

It has been a while since we have visited and we wanted to try the lunch menu. The hostess seated us immediately and our server took our beverage order. We did order the veggie lettuce wrap to share and it was delicious! The lunch menu had many of our favorites and we enjoyed our lunch and looking forward to next time.

Our company hosted a party at P.F. Chang’s Bakersfield, and the staff absolutely moved mountains to take care of us. From start to finish, the service was warm, attentive, and detail-oriented — the kind of hospitality you usually expect from a small local business. They made us feel celebrated, not just served, and that means a lot. We’ll definitely be back more often now that we know how personable and committed this team is. Big thanks to the entire staff for their hard work that night!

A way to ruin someone’s night especially on valentines is making them wait after having reservations. Extremely disappointing, we had made reservations a week or two prior because we wanted to try something new.
Our reservation was at 8:00PM, we checked in to be told it would be a 30 minute wait which honestly I was okay with understanding its valentines. 30 minutes goes by, I give it 40 minutes just to see if they needed more time.
I get told I’ll receive a text once my table is ready, that they’re still seating people that were infront me? So what’s the point of reserving/reservation? Couldn’t answer my question.
Waited well over an 1 hour and 45 minutes passed our reservations and just went across the street to BJs and ordered take out.
Seeing another review similar to my experience. Guess I wasn’t the only one whose night was ruined.
If I could give 0 stars here I would!

Hadn’t been to P.F. Chang’s since they stopped making the Midnight Rituals! Went to meet some friends and had Sal as our server. He was fantastic!! He has a great personality and was very knowledgeable of everything offered. Not only were we extremely impressed with his patience and professionalism , but when I asked him about my favorite drink ever…Sal Made It Happen!!! Thanks for the great service, excellent food and the Midnight Rituals!! You’re Killin’ It Sal! Cheers!!
