stopped by this sushi spot since I used to work here back in the day, and I was curious to see how it is under the new management. The place is still decent, but honestly, I think it was better before. The quality and overall vibe just felt different compared to how it used to be. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t have the same experience I remembered.

Extremely overpriced and nothing was fresh. Every single roll we ordered was mostly stuffed with imitation crab, even when that was not mentioned in the ingredients list. The caterpilla roll was supposed to be eel and instead it was all imitation crab. Could not taste any eel at all. We ended up digging out all the crab filling because it was just a gross amount.

Everything was really fresh, delicious! Reasonably priced. They have an outdoor patio area that is covered. You can do either a la carte or all you can eat. Bring your appetite because the rolls are large.

I’ve been here multiple times now, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. One of the things I appreciate most is their late closing time. As someone who works the graveyard shift and starts their day much later than most, it’s often hard to find quality spots open past 9 PM. Ozen fills that gap perfectly — it’s become my go-to sushi place for late-night cravings.

No matter the time or day, I’ve always been greeted warmly upon arrival. The wait has never been long during my visits, whether on a weekday or weekend. The staff here is incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient — they make you feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of.

The sushi itself is fantastic. Every roll is crafted with care and doesn’t fall apart easily, which shows the skill behind the preparation. The fish is always fresh, and the flavors are balanced and satisfying. Ozen offers two tiers of All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) options: Regular and Premium. So far, I’ve only tried the Regular AYCE and have been thoroughly impressed — generous portions, great variety, and no skimping on quality.

Pricing is also fair, especially considering the quality of food and service. Compared to other sushi spots in the area, Ozen delivers great value without compromising on taste or presentation.

It’s a great place to come solo for a peaceful late-night meal or with friends to catch up over delicious sushi. Whether you’re a night owl, a shift worker, or just someone who appreciates good food and good service, Ozen Sushi is definitely worth the visit.

The sushi was not bad for the price.
However, they calculate tips for both Tax and credit card fees. I don’t know why you think this will be accepted.
I calculated and paid the tip myself, but a system that only thought about money without thinking about customers at all is difficult to accept.

Came by Ozen Sushi in Buena Park for a late-night AYCE run and it was solid overall. It’s one of the few sushi spots around that stays open until 2AM, which already makes it convenient. The menu has a lot to choose from—rolls, nigiri, hand rolls, carpaccio—and the portions felt fair. I liked that the rice wasn’t overly heavy, so you don’t feel stuffed too fast. Out of everything we tried, the yellowtail carpaccio and baked crawfish roll stood out the most. Both had good flavor and didn’t feel rushed or sloppy. The Aloha Roll, Ozen Roll, and spicy scallop handroll were all decent too, just not as memorable for me. Service was fine and the place was clean, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to hang out for a bit. Overall, a reliable AYCE option, especially if you’re craving sushi late at night.

I ordered tonight from
This restaurant and found a hair in my miso soup. I literally opened the container and poured it into my clean bowl. The hair is the size of no hair on my body. Clearly not mine. Gross. And door dash only refunded $2.90 while I’m too grossed out to eat the remainder of my $90 sushi. Just unsanitary.

This is a nice spot for both all-you-can-eat and à la carte menu. The rice portion in their sushi is just right—not too big—and each piece comes with an impressive amount of sashimi. Their roll variety is extensive, and the set meals from the à la carte menu are delicious and well-priced. The service is vrey friendly and attentive. Food was quite quick. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, perfect for casual dining.

Came here as a stop after a long 4 hour drive into town, just to pull up and it is a ghost town.. not one car in the lot.. No lights or anything .. no signage .. other than some saying they’re open until 2am .. Which they are not! On a Friday Night!!!! What a joke. Disappointed.

The biggest issue here was the customer service.
I picked up my order and waited patiently to be helped. When the woman working approached me, she didn’t let me speak and immediately started trying to look at my phone screen, invading my personal space while I was trying to explain that I had placed a phone order. I asked for more ginger, but she walked away while I was still speaking. I assumed she was busy and didn’t hear me, so I grabbed some myself. (It was in plain sight within reach)

She then came up to me in a very aggressively, getting in my face and telling me I shouldn’t grab things without asking even though I did ask. The interaction made me extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed, and I ended up wasting more time than I should have. I just wanted to leave at that point.

I offered to pay for the extra ginger, but she insisted on giving it to me for free while still making it a big issue. I’ve dined in before and never had a problem or been charged for ginger, so the whole situation felt unnecessary and hostile.

Overall, be aware of possible unexpected up charges, and also be prepared for uncomfortable aggressive customer service.
