Driving through the Ozarks and saw Man vs Food made a stop at the Ozark Cafe. We had to check it out. Glad we did. Very cool little restaurant. Our server was Rylee Ray and she was amazing and very tentative. We started with the chicken tenders and they were delicious and juicy. Then the Volcano Burger arrived and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. If you like cheese and beef, get here somehow and slip into nirvana while savoring every bite. You will get to enjoy an amazing drive along 7 as well. Win Win! Come out and support local restaurants and avoid chains. I highly recommend this place!

The cabin we rented down the road from Jasper had a copy of the menu for The Ozark Cafe. It looked amazing so we tried it out… and then we ate there at least 4 times on our 5 day vacation! They have been in business since 1909 and every thing on the menu that we tried was absolutely DELICIOUS. All of the staff were very friendly and my son has said he will never be able to eat another hamburger again because it would not compare. (A tip: order the buffalo burger – no longer on the menu but if you order they will make it. Deep fried hamburger dipped in buffalo sauce topped with cheese and house ranch – your life will be changed forever!)

I love Ozark Cafe anytime I’m in Jasper. Breakfast lunch or dinner, I’ve never been disappointed. The service is friendly and helpful. This diner also has an impressive list of burgers. On this last visit I went with the French Fried Onion Burger while my friend had the Chicken Fried Steak. Both were delicious!

Stopped in for the Root-beer Floats but stayed for an early dinner. Wasn’t even planning on eating there until we saw some of the food being brought out. We were pleasantly surprised how good everything was and the prices were great too. Look at the size of that Chicken Fried Pork Tenderloin that could serve 2 maybe even 3 people well.

Great place, good homestyle food, large portions. The chicken fried steak like mom used to make, but a thicker piece. Went back for breakfast before a hike and was just as good! Really good and as expected huge blueberry pancakes. The side of fried ham was a taste from the past, nothing like the over processed stuff served most places. Loved the nostalgic decorations, especially the Lil Abner mural that reminded me of a trip to Dogpatch as a kid. If you are in the area, stop by… a breath of fresh air in our cookie-cutter world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best chicken fried steak we’ve ever had and I don’t usually even like cfs. Loved the veggie omelet (we added bacon). Great prices and great portions. Adrienne was the sweetest server at breakfast and the lady at dinner who served us was terrific as well. Cool history here. Check out my pictures for the menu as of February 2023.

We were on our motorcycle trip from Texas rising the Ozarks in Arkansas for the first time. We passed through here and saw this restaurant. Seemed like a cool spot to could, so we have it a try. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was awesome. We loved the decor. The food and service were great. We all had different variations of hamburgers on the menu. We wish we would’ve had more time to try some of their milkshakes. They looked absolutely amazing. Hopefully we’ll be back through here and try them the next time around. We really enjoyed our lunch.

We stopped in here before going to the river. Food was cafe style delicious. My son got a cheese burger and it was big and yummy. My boyfriend got the patty melt that was amazing. I got the Ruben, it was perfect. Curly fries were perfect, but the best part was Jaque our server. I am a server for 18 years now so I know a basic server and a server who cares. She was not only attentive without being over baring but she was also running food not just for her tables but for other servers. She truly cares about that restaurant and the people. She asked what our plans for the memorial day weekend was, we told here we were going to a place on the river, and she suggested a local spot (sorry I can’t share the spot I was swearn to secrecy). I am so glad we stopped in. Not only was lunch great but the swimming spot was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Thank you Jaque and thank you Ozark Cafe!!!
