I was recently here for their Thanksgiving Buffet and it was definitely worth the price tag. They had Fresh selection of oysters, shrimp and your traditional Thanksgiving platter. I gave it four stars because the hostess told me once I arrived if I knew that it was $125? I sat near her and she told no one else this information so I did feel like it was a little biased. Otherwise, the food was great.

Thank you Don for being our server during our first visit. we found that it was excellent food overall with a special shout out to the sunshokes (roasted to perfection so they were creamy with a sprinkling of salt–i didn’t even use the dip it came with 9 and the milk bread with guava and citrus butters. The orange chocolate cheesecake was also delightful with the orange zest and orange and blood orange wedges. We will have to return and try the happy hour as well as more menu items. Tip: make a reservation as when we went they were pretty busy for a Friday night.

Love this place. We’ve celebrated our anniversary here many times. The atmosphere, food, and location, are top notch. This time there was a little problem meeting my allergy needs, even though the allergy was stated with the reservation and confirmed at check-in. Good thing I didn’t have a reaction, but closer attention to detail is a must. Normally the food is spectacular, but I guess it was just an off night.

We stopped in to this location because it’s in close proximity and advertised at the Hyatt we are staying at. We went during lunch time just to look around and Steve encouraged us to come back for dinner. We stopped in for dinner and the service and food was amazing! The food is so fresh and the staff has great knowledge of palette pairing. It is quite obvious that the establishment has a lot of respect for the chef as they continuously credited them for various things on the menu. My husband and I enjoyed the dinner so much we came back for lunch the next day. Diane waited on us and was great, she opened us up to very eclectic things on the menu I would have never tried like thr bacon jam, pimento fried green tomatoes. The drinks were good too! If you are ever staying at the downtown Hyatt you must stop in at this restaurant all food is made FRESH! After lunch we had a relaxing time at the pool outside. Such a great time! Next time we are in Tampa we would definitely return!

Oystercatchers is a wonderful restaurant in Hyatt . Great ambience with amazing food and drinks . They were able to make a vegan dish for me though they specialized for sea food. I highly recommend people to visit this restaurant if you are in Tampa, Florida !

We stopped in on a whim as we were both hungry but not starving if that makes sense. Tucked away behind Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Valet parking only from what we could tell but don’t hold me to that. Staff was very friendly, we decided to sit up at the bar for some small bites which is a different menu from the full menu. We had some Oysters which were great, their Tuna Poke bowl was AMAZING, Cocktails were fantastic (order the Pear Martini). We are excited to come back and try the actual menu and sit outside overlooking the beautiful bay area. A+

I’ve been here a few times. It’s a bit pricey but also amazing. I don’t even like oysters and I would gladly go back. The food is incredible. The service is incredible and the atmosphere is incredible. I would consider it a fancy date type place. I also photographed a wedding there years ago and remember the staff being so easy to work with.

We know only two real “restaurants” in our area — this one and another one in Dunedin.
Yes, I’m talking about a real restaurant experience, where food is crafted as an art of taste.
This is actually the first place in the U.S. where I truly enjoy oysters — and that means a lot, since I had a hard time with them after my European oyster habit.
Try sitting inside — there’s an older gentleman waiter who makes the experience even better. You’ll never regret leaving a good tip.
This is a genuine restaurant: oysters, wine, and food made as art.
