After seeing Oyster Shooters Raw Bar and Grill featured in the news as a “hidden gem,” I knew we had to try it — and OMG, it did not disappoint!

We started with the New England Clam Chowder, and it was rich, creamy, and full of flavor — the kind that instantly transports you straight to the coast. The calamari as an appetizer was hands down the tenderest I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, light, and addictive.

The raw oyster selection was amazing—delicious, meaty, sweet, and not gritty at all. But the star of the meal was the Connecticut Lobster Roll: warm, buttery lobster piled high and paired with a refreshing tropical slaw that balanced everything beautifully. Absolute perfection. Add in a Dr Pepper oyster shooter and their signature oyster shooter, and it was a full-on flavor experience.

What truly elevated the visit was Sophie, our server — an absolute gem herself! Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Service like that is rare and so appreciated.

This place truly earns its hidden gem title. Fresh seafood, incredible flavors, and outstanding service — we’ll definitely be back!

It’s time for a fiesta – ok, not really, though that might be what your initial impression of Shooter’s when you drive up. Don’t let former Mexican restaurant’s classic adobe hacienda exterior scare you away, this is the place to slurp down some nice chilled fat bellys. Draft craft beers and a few mixed speciality drinks might not be up to the very discerning bar goer, but there’s plenty to augment your meal. The menu is a good mix of light fare, fresh seafood and some quality beef choices. The variety of oysters is pretty good for our warm water state. All our food was fresh, well cook, and served promptly. We enjoyed a half dozen of mixed oysters (pick ’em), the clam chowder (added some black pepper to liven it up a bit), lobster bisque (a little too much on the tomato’y side – we prefer more butter/cream flavor) calamari, seafood alfredo and shrimp scampi. Military discount is offered.

We stopped in for lunch after visiting the nearby arts district. The food was fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable. I had the lane snapper lunch fish board. It came with coconut jasmine rice which was the perfect complement for the fish. I added a side of the fried Brussels sprouts and they were excellent. They’re served with a balsamic glaze that is perfect. They have a sprinkle of parmigiana also. My wife ate crab cakes and they were very tasty. She said they were a bit on the wet side but had good flavor and lots of crab meat. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a great place to grab some lunch!

Prompt hostess greeting and seating. Nice comfortable decor and seating areas. Helpful and sincere server.

The Seafood Alfredo was perfect with medium properly cooked shrimp and Colossal Coconut Shrimp were huge!, but lacked a full coconut taste. Perhaps by more finely shaving the coconut meat. The carrots and potato sides were oK.

The Oysters were small but delicious, to be expected in August.

Good choice of beers and a nice bar arrangement. Will definitely return.

The bartender Sam is amazing!! We came in for a late lunch and she was so welcoming, fun and drinks and food was AMAZING!!! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Very classy for a sit down dinner with a date or friends but can be laid back and food and specialty drinks are so good!!! Will return to this restaurant when in area!! Thanks

Excellent steamed and raw oysters, and at a good price during happy hour. Awesome giant Bavarian pretzel with delicious cheese sauce. Service was great. My only complaint is that the coconut shrimp were not good. They were very big and the sauce was good, but the batter fell completely off and there was no coconut taste.

Highly recommend oyster shooters raw bar and grill. From the food to the atmosphere to the gracious owners, everything is top notch. The coconut shrimp are huge, the lobster roll was fantastic flavor and generously filled on the soft brioche bun… best clam chowder I ever had. My husbands not a huge seafood eater and there’s plenty of items to choose from for him on the menu too! 10/10 and check out the events and comedy nights they have!

What’s to say first, it’s definitely hole in the wall feel from outside, seems not that inviting but generally that draws my self into places more. inside it’s definitely a nice restaurant feel, simple, bright colors and friendly staff.

Our server Maya was attentive and definitely friendly, she wasn’t pressuring or pushy for anything. We ordered quite a bit but definitely enjoyed all of it.

I Personally got the Connecticut lobster roll with steak Fries, My wife got the Calamari Caesar wrap and roasted potatoes, it really was very good and definitely a nice take on a Caesar wrap.

our other friends had gotten the lobster roll as well with the rice, and the the seafood alfredo pasta. surprisingly, the Alfredo sauce was a very good texture. not too liquidy but not too thick either, the infusion of blue crab flavoring or pieces I should say, was a nice touch along with the scallop and shrimp in it as well. sauteed well and definitely made from scratch, the sauce itself was very reminiscent of Red lobster cheddar bay biscuits, surprisingly so it was a nice familiar taste but much better overall.

back to the lobster roll, it was definitely a lightly glazed lobster bits with with a deep, buttery flavor, along with a nice coating on the e-roll itself, the roll seemed to be a brioche so it was a nice sweet break from the lobster taste, but a beautiful mixture of texture and taste in this low key establishment.

definitely would visit again.
