Great spot in the heart of Charleston!
The atmosphere and service were excellent, and the food did not disappoint.
I really enjoyed the crab pot…fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. They also have a great beer list with plenty of options to pair with seafood.
If the weather’s nice, grab a seat on the patio – it’s perfect for people-watching and soaking in the downtown Charleston energy.
Overall, a great experience and one I’d definitely come back for.

We had a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend this spot, especially if you love oysters!
The Bluepoint Oysters were absolutely delicious and, as always, a total hit, a must-order item!
We also enjoyed trying the Steamboat Oysters but they were bigger than we liked but still good and found the Lavender Spritz drink to be a pleasant surprise (in a good way!).
While the Fire Roasted Oysters weren’t to our liking and we sent them back, the rest of the meal was excellent. Most importantly, our waiter was super nice and attentive, which really made the evening a pleasure.

Just went in during lunch for the oysters. All of them were good, but the seasonal local ones were the best…we got extra of those. I may be biased but nothing beats the oysters around the Chesapeake Bay area.
Gave it 1 less star because they are expensive oysters 3 to 4.00 each.
Both hosts at the bar were great. Very friendly and easy to talk too. Also, the side grits were delicious.

We ate here for dinner last night and the experience was excellent. We got 1.50$ oysters for Happy Hour along with some great beer and an old fashioned on special for happy hour which is during the week daily from 4PM-7PM. I ordered the sea bass and my co-worker ordered the Fried Seafood Platter. Everything was excellent. The bartender Rachel was great! Excellent attitude, great conversation. The kick butt old fashioned’s were so good we had to have a few. Definitely stop by, you won’t regret it.

Always have a great time when at O-Bar! By ourselves or with family and friends, we are always treated with happy faces and smiles and great customer service. We always sit at the bar and enjoy the oysters. They recommend the best ones and appreciate it. Hush puppies are great, on the sweeter side and more like a dessert but are really good. The sea bass plate is amazing and the grilled scallops and shrimp are really good. If you can switch out the redfish from the plate I would recommend but overall this is our go to seafood place whenever we are in town!

I had the most wonderful time at the Oyster house. Jane, my server, was an absolute pleasure, so friendly and warming. The She-crab soup is the best in Charleston! So if you are looking for a relaxing chill delicious evening in downtown Charleston, head down to the Oyster house and ask for Jane!

If you are going for food, then I highly recommend it. Experience-wise it was good but could be better in my opinion. The chairs were not comfortable. You could hear what other people were talking about.
The food was awesome though. Fresh oysters are 10/10. Grilled fish had spices inside and it had such an interesting flavor, I loved it.
If you thinking about ordering a dessert or not, DO IT. They have a caramel cheesecake from NY and it was so tasty l still remember the taste in my mouth.
Fried oysters were good but not the rest of the food. I would not order them again if we came back.
Paid $120 with tips included for 2 of us.

We sat outside. The weather was wonderful. Nice and breezy with fans outdoors. We had the sea bass and shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. Our server, Jerrod, was busy but attentive. We would definitely come back.
