I had a wonderful experience at the Oyster Bar in Quincy Market. The service was excellent and very accommodating. We wanted to enjoy lobster, and the staff kindly allowed me to finish food from another vendor at the table, which was a pleasant surprise. We tried two different types of clam chowder, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. The lobster rolls were also very good—fresh, generously filled, and beautifully prepared. I sampled a wine before ordering, and the one I chose paired nicely with the meal, even if wine prices in the U.S. tend to be a bit high.
Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon that we truly enjoyed. Highly recommended!

The lobster roll is great. Very tasty, with hot oil, and potato chips. The service is excellent, they cook it very quickly. I definitely recommend trying it.

The Seafood Chowder is delicious, and the Lobster Bisque is very good, but the Lobster Roll seemed a little fishy and tougher than others I’ve had in New England.

We visited on a Wednesday in mid-June 2025 for dinner. We saw that this restaurant was right next to Wicked Lobsta and also had a lobster bisque but at a significantly lower price. So we though maybe we’ll order this here and everything else over there.
Well, sadly the soup was very meh. We also order a bread bowl on the side for a to-go order. The soup was cheaper but not sure if it would’ve been better than what we would’ve gotten over at the other establishment. We didn’t try anything else so it’s hard to say anything about the rest of their food but I would stay away from the lobster bisque. Better food options to spend your money on.
I would certainly come back here to try other things on their menu but my review is based solely on their lobster bisque. Staff was good and atmosphere was good. They actually had some bar seating at their store front which was cool and more intimate but then again it’s called Oyster BAR so they had to have a bar.

Oyster bar was a fine experience. Food was average for such a place. Hot buttered lobster roll cheaper than the other places inside Quincy Market. Service was very good.

Strolled through Quincy Market — gave me St. Lawrence Market vibes from back home in Toronto. Found this little spot tucked away and thought, “When in Boston, you have to try the lobster roll,” right? It was solid! I’ve had a few better in my time, but this one still hit the spot.
Also tried the clam chowder (or should I say chowdah) — creamy, comforting, and the texture was just right. Cozy little place, good food, and friendly folks behind the counter. Appreciate the hospitality and the warm Boston welcome!

$29.99 for the hot lobster roll. This was my first one, so maybe I’m not a lobster roll guy, but it wasn’t great. Not a lot of flavor. We got a cup of the lobster bisque though and it was phenomenal. Elite soup

Got their platter of oysters, clam and shrimps. It was supposed to be 3 oysters, 1 clam and 2 shrimps I think? Instead I got 2 oysters and 3 shirmps. Normally I wouldn’t mind but they finished talking with each other before starting on my order. 1 oyster tasted like nothing and the other did, clam was great but all 3 shrimps had good texture but completely no taste. Even water has flavor idk why their shrimp didn’t have any

This spot is definitely a hidden gem in the Boston area especially for the Quincy Markt area. It’s located indoors, so you won’t be burning up in the summer heat. Staff was super friendly with us and was willing to show us how big their lobster was for their lobster meal. We got a whole lobster for about 37$ and it was cooked nicely and cut and cleaned well for us fresh. There’s seating at our spot and it’s very comfortable 🙂 Not super crowded at all and is definitely being slept on. Super good deal and quality for anyone interested in lobster dishes, seafood and the like.
