We stopped in for lunch and had an excellent experience from start to finish. You could smell the fresh coffee the moment we walked in, and it absolutely delivered. Honestly, better than a lot of regular brews I’ve had at dedicated coffee shops.
Valentina took great care of our family. She was attentive, kind and made us feel genuinely welcomed not just like another table passing through. That kind of service stands out.
The food was fantastic across the board. The chorizo, steak, chicken, and shrimp were all well seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri was incredibly fresh, savory and full of flavor — it really made the whole meal stand out. And our little one discovered arepas for the first time, he loved them so much he was still holding onto his after we left.
Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere during lunch with a stage set up that makes me think evenings here are probably a great time too.
5/5 for us. Great food, exceptional service, and we’ll definitely be back.
The food: I would say it’s good but it didn’t have salt at all, like literally no salt in any of the ingredients. We usually don’t use much salt when eat at home but their food didn’t have it! Even that being said, the taste felt like homemade food and we loved that. We ate bandeja paisa.
Service: ok, this is their weakness. The place wasn’t busy but the waitress took a long time even just to seat us. And who seated us was the bartender. Another point is that the girl who served us seemed to not know the menu deeply (I have dairy allergies) and requested information about some products in the menu but she wasn’t able to provide it. Also she seemed to be beginner (not a bad thing, we all need to start someday) but I would say the problem was that she didn’t take notes and made more than one mistake when we ordered. Also they forgot some ingredients in one of the bandejas.
Atmosphere: we loved the place! The decoration, the stuff that evokes Colombia, the music, lights, all was really good!
It’s a nice place definitely. Not sure if we would go back soon but maybe later when they have more time opened to the public we could give them another chance.
Meal type: …
Food is lackluster, prices are high, service is mediocre, some days it feels as if the food is going to arrive sometime next year. These are all things that have been pointed out by others before me. However, I noticed that this restaurant has one blaring issue and I believe that it explains why this restaurant isn’t doing so well, if you’ve ever been there you’d know just how empty it typically is. I believe that it is because of the owner of the restaurant.
She is a very interesting woman in the sense that she displays several qualities that intrigue me. She is emotionally volatile, arrogant, and insecure. She has approached me to ask me how the food is, how everything’s going, just small talk and something I noticed was that she seems to love taking control of the conversation. One of the times in which she approached me I pointed out that the food was kind of cold and she became mildly confrontational and really only seemed to be interested in scoring points against me rather than being a leader and situating the situation. But this interaction pales in comparison to this one instance where she became very hostile towards one of her customers, she was shouting, she was interrupting, she was resorting to petty insults, she chased her out of the restaurant. She came across as an entitled and immature individual.
In my previous visit to this restaurant I heard shouting from the kitchen, she was yelling at one of her staff members. A couple of her staff members seem absolutely afraid of her.
I’ve been scrolling through this restaurant’s reviews and I noticed that pricing is often discussed and a lot of people feel as though the cost of eating here is way too high when you consider the quality of the food itself. This restaurant apparently had its grand opening on December 5 2025, that was two months ago as of writing this. Two months ago someone left a review pointing out how the prices are quite high. What I infer from this is that the reason as to why she prices her food so high isn’t only because her restaurant is failing but because she is extremely sensitive to loss aversion and it really is just all about winning when it comes to her.
I believe she is hurting her own business, I believe that she needs to sort out her personal issues with a therapist/counselor if she wants her business to succeed. And that is all, thank you.
