Oya Sushi definitely deserves more than five stars since it’s a top-notch sushi restaurant in Maryland! Not only sushi/sashimi platter was made with exceptional quality and flavor, but their hot dishes were also perfectly cooked and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean & neat, and the staffs were super friendly and nice. Will absolutely be back to try other plates from the menu 🙂 Highly, highly recommended!

Been to over 50 sushi restaurants in my life, and this one is in the top. Fantastic experience! Sushi was fresh, generous portions of fish, and very fairly priced. Got in early at 5:00 PM and was maybe the first one there for the evening. I enjoyed listening to the cool music while I vibed with the complimentary miso soup and baked salmon dishes the courteous servers brought for me. I ordered the salmon cucumber and the eel avocado roll, the Udon, and the matcha ice-cream. Overall had a very peaceful, delicious dinner out alone.

Actually 10/10, we went around 5ish starving and it was pretty empty, seated right away. Amazing service everyone was so nice and helpful, cool music, drinks stayed full, sushi was fresh and just yum. They offered us hot tea and miso and dessert! Unfortunately the camera ate first for dessert lol but was Monaka Ice Cream which I included a photo of what it looks like. Amazing experience we live like 25 min away but will probs be new regulars

After moving from South Korea, I’ve been searching for a good sushi restaurant, but until now, I hadn’t found one. I was delighted to discover mackerel on the menu here, which is rare in sushi places, so I ordered the mackerel nigiri—it was savory and delicious. I also tried the Sushi Regular, and every piece was fresh and well-balanced, with just the right texture, rice, and temperature. The small dishes of seaweed and ginger were authentic and a nice touch. The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

great local sushi place! Large pieces of fish with small amount of rice, something you don’t really see often. Ordered a simple tuna roll and nigiris to gage their quality and did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

When I saw that this place had 4.9 stars, I was pretty doubtful of it’s quality. Like, come on, what place is that close to 5 stars. Well to my surprise this was the best sushi experience I could’ve asked for. Not only was our server providing 10/10 friendliness and attentiveness, but the food was immaculate. I’m talking the presentation and quality of meat was just beaaauuutiful! The place itself is nice and relaxing, no blaring music or loud conversations happening when I was there. I went here for a date and we already have a second date lined up so I owe it all thanks to Oya Sushi ❤️

I can confidently say this is the finest sushi restaurant I have ever visited. The ambiance was wonderfully tranquil, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were treated to complimentary tea, miso soup, an extra piece of sushi with my entree, an additional scallop with my mom’s dish, a delightful baked salmon, salmon wrapped in cucumber, and dessert—all graciously offered at no charge. Everything was incredibly fresh, and each dish was so beautifully presented that it felt almost wrong to eat them, yet they were absolutely delicious. They even inquired about any allergies before serving us these generous gifts. This place truly had no shortcomings and surpassed all of our expectations!
