We stopped by OxVegas Chicken in Oxford after a college visit at Miami University with my wife and son. Everything we saw online made this place look incredible, so we were excited to try it.
The space itself is actually pretty cute and very student-friendly. Ordering is done on a touchscreen, and your food is brought out to you, which makes it quick and convenient. That said, the only real service interaction we had was when the food was dropped off.
Unfortunately, the fries were cold and the chicken was just okay. I can absolutely see this being a totally different experience if the place were busy and everything was coming out hot and fresh. Today just felt like an off day.
I can definitely understand why this spot would be a super convenient and popular option for Miami University students. For us, it just wasn’t a standout experience, but I wouldn’t rule out giving it another shot during a busier time.

If you are in Oxford, you really should plan to visit this restaurant. The food is delicious! The breading on the chicken is perfect! The Mac and cheese is super creamy and has a yummy taste. The pretzel stick caps off the meal. For being a place where you can get quick food, this is a pleasant experience!!

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for a long time and it did not disappoint!
I ended up getting the three piece combo, or “The Freshman” with a side of Mac and Cheese. The chicken was perfect, and I enjoyed the fries too!
Service-wise it was cool to see the owners both involved in making the food and checking on everyone.
Overall plan on going here as much as I can and the late night hours will be great for after the bars close.

We stopped by after moving our son in. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell he really loves this place and takes great pride in it. The food was fantastic. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The Mac n cheese was delicious. Now let’s talk about the waffle fries. They, hands down were so good. They had the perfect amount of seasoning and cooked perfectly. It was also so great to grab a draft beer as well. We can’t wait to go back.

Dinner was great! The chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I tried the OxSauce, Kickin-Sauce, and honey mustard. OxSauce is obviously meant to compare to other special sauces elsewhere and it did not disappoint. The cinnamon pretzels and icing dip were also good!

Wow – what a disappointment! The environment and atmosphere is great! However that’s the only good thing about this place. The food is NOT worth it. I mean look how small these chicken fingers are – AND FOR $13?!?!? Are you kidding me? Absolutely outrageous. Simply a money grab from drunk college kids. Go to Skippers if you want some late night food. Drinks here are crazy expensive too. TEXAS TOAST SUCKS! Just a piece of white bread they toast only on one side. Will never be worth it! Do not come here for late night food. You will be disappointed!!!!

First time visiting. We were greeted immediately by the general manager who gave a quick run down of the menu. You can tell this guy loved his job, was super passionate and excited about this place. And I see why. The chicken was amazing. It was tender, juicy, hot, flavorful. Generous sauce portions. They also have a bar. I’m with their own ipa and lager too. We will be back over and over. We noticed an outside eating area but it was really hot today. We will def be checking that out when it’s not so hot.

I was greeted by the lovely soul and personality of Riley Ott. She taught me how to use the kiosk and even recommended the Apple Vinaigrette salad, which was a delight to enjoy! I enjoyed the tasteful music and entertaining TV’s to overall make a memorable experience that I will reflect on for the remainder of my time in Oxford!

OH MY GOODNESS THEY ACTUALLY DID IT !!! I am deleting the old review I posted of this place (see attached) where I requested Nashville Hot Chicken to be added to the menu, because they delivered! Not only did they put it on the menu, but it is also certified gas . That baby is good and has some kick to it, which is what you want for Nashville Hot Chicken. Thank you guys so much for considering it and putting it on the menu. These guys deliver. For these reasons, this joint, with this hot chicken (as well as other chicken options), in this economy, gets the “Oh yeah” approval from Oh yeah. Keep on keeping on, and love and honor, Mr. Storer and Mr. Trester. ♥️♥️♥️

I so badly wanted to give this place a good review. For a while I couldn’t even go because they did not accept cash. Fortunately, they reversed that. Shortly after that, I came to try it out, but was told they ran out of chicken. A few months later, I finally got to try it out, They had a kiosk order system, however, after I had made out my order on there it asked me if I wanted to pay by card, there is no option for cash on the kiosk. There was a note to see an employee if you were paying cash, I thought that would get my order committed after having placed it in the kiosk. We had to go over to the bar to place the order, girl behind the bar was very nice, but there was a swarm of gnats going on. Got the “junior” meal, It was out very quickly. There was a hamburger bun top with garlic butter on it. That seemed a little weird, this would be much better with Texas toast. The ‘kickin’ sauce was just a Tabasco, the barbecue seemed out of a bottle. The chicken by itself was good. The windows were desperately in need of a clean, I would highly recommend they get a professional window cleaner. Almost impossible to enjoy the meal because of the flies. If the owners read this review, hire professional window cleaners. Take some aggressive action to mitigate the flying insects. Fix your point of sale to accept cash on pickup, so you don’t waste people’s time. Keep your tables clean. Was very impressed when the girl who took our order asked for my review.
