My daughter and I ate here during parents’ weekend. We had never eaten raw sushi, and for some reason, we both decided to be brave. It was excellent! We also loved the music choice that made it a fun vibe! I had the raspberry margarita that was also delicious.

The food here is so good. We’ve been here a couple times and the food is always on point. The volcano has great flavor.It is in a college town so the service you get depends on the day. The guy we had last night was great. The atmosphere is a bit generic.
Recently returned this past Sunday the food is still just so good! Slightly aggravating what’s the fact that there was a sign I said dine-in 50% off come to find out that that is only on regular rolls. But nowhere does it state this. When asking about it they act like I should know better. I don’t know how they figured I would know when there was no further information. Shame on me for thinking it was a special on Sunday. But just a heads up if you see the sign please know it’s only on regular rolls.

The only bad thing about this review is that I don’t give five stars ever and over $269 reviews… The decorations were on point. The atmosphere was on point. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu was varied enough but not excessively varied that anything we ordered didn’t taste and appear great. I would have to agree with their sign. They are definitely the best sushi in Oxford. Highly recommend even if you live 30 -45 minutes from here. Still worth a drive!!!!!

We really enjoyed our lunch. We both got a bento and some rolls that was half off. The fried calamari and salad was yummy. My bulgogi was too salty and my hubby’s teriyaki chicken was a little dry. The rolls were so-so. The eel didn’t seem fresh and the California and shrimp rolls very generic (like the kind u get at Kroger). Next time I will try hand rolls or specialty rolls. I definitely will be back bc it’s close to my house and I love Japanese food.

No other dine in customers on Saturday noon. We ordered , salad was served. A half hour later our order was not started in the kitchen. We asked for the bill for the salad. I will give the waitress props for not charging us. During our stay the staff was in the kitchen, gossiping.

We’ve been coming here for a few years, and like others have said, the food is always good, but the service is hit or miss.
Unfortunately, today, my family and I were sat in the booth closest to the bathroom, when I slid in, I noticed a hole in the seat, but didn’t think anything of it until I scooted over and was poked in the leg by a piece of wire sticking out.
It didn’t break the skin, but it did poke a hole in my pants.
I informed our server and asked to be moved to a shrapnel free booth, which she apologized and did quickly.
I wouldn’t normally leave a negative review because we have enjoyed the food, but we noticed that the next couple that came in were placed right into the damaged booth with zero concern for their safety.
That was definitely disappointing.
There were plenty of open tables available.

as a dasher, i am ignored and disrespected every time i have to deliver an order from the restaurant. i am not the type of dasher to shove my phone in faces. i am very VERY patient. but i draw the line when it takes over 20 minutes to do a simple order and you give me no communication about it. they will make direct eye contact with me and not say a word. i hate dashing from here. they need better training on how to treat EVERYONE who comes in.
