Chocolate chip cookie was good, though nothing special. I love large cookies with crispy edges and gooey centers, this was that but needed a pinch more salt.
Slice pizza was decent and 5$ slice is fair. Again, nothing special but well crafted. Would buy again.

The huge miss was my wife’s bagel. Garlic bagel with hummus and cucumbers. I know, weird choice, but whatever makes her happy. The bagel was over toasted just enough to burn 40% of the garlic which caused the whole bagel to taste burnt, that combined with the way over lemon’d hummus, made the bagel taste like burnt lemons. Pretty much the worst bagel I’ve ever tried. So bad I had to leave this review.
My feedback to the bakers, check on the garlic bagels more diligently, the garlic burns easy, and please redo your hummus recipe.

The ambiance is great and the staff is great as well. They’re very helpful and clearly happy to work here. The food that other people ordered looks fantastic, but I don’t make Seattle money and bread isn’t part of my diet plan so I won’t be confirming that any time soon.

The most important factors to me in a coffee shop are 1. the bathrooms, and 2. the ambiance, both of which are fantastic. The bathrooms are single occupant, clean, have cleaning implements so customers can help keep them clean, and have huge mirrors which are pretty.

The seating is open and abundant. There’s a bar over by the barista station, bar seating looking out the window, and bar seating on the side over by the water, and 12 tables occupying the main area. There’s a water station that is being actively refilled by the staff. This place also holds jazz shows every Friday. Very cool.

One aspect to this coffee shop/bakery (it’s a bakery) is that the bakery and barista stations are separated, which was a little confusing to me. I spent a little time zoning out at both signs before figuring out how it works. The advantage is obvious, though. If you just want coffee, you don’t have to wait behind people who want baked goods and vice versa. Other similar establishments (like Macrina) could learn a thing or two from this set up.

Unfortunately, because I only had the tea, I was privy to a couple of downsides which may only affect my experience. I got some decaf tea (and it was great to me, but I’m not really a tea drinker) but it was served in two implements which don’t really work at all.

First off, I got this French press of tea made by Miir. This French press spills everywhere whenever I pour it. I basically took up two seats at the bar with the mess I’d created from spilling tea. Second, this adorable little teacup. This teacup is so thin that it gets too hot to hold except by the handle, but the handle is too dainty and unwieldy to actually help.

Is that enough to bring it down a whole star. Probably not, but I might not have ordered the tea in the first place if the lattes weren’t nearly $7. I might change my mind next time I come, and it will be soon. So, I guess we’ll see.

Delicious bagels and a cozy place to hang. I got a sesame bagels and it would have been better with more sesame seeds. They have lots of options for bagel toppings and lots of other dessert/pastry options. And love a compostable cup.

What a beautiful spot with its industrial design and airy, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is solid, but the real star here is the bagel — fresh, flavorful, and paired with a great selection of spreads. Perfect for breakfast or a casual morning stop. Highly recommended!

We love Oxbow! We live nearby and are so happy to have such a high quality bakery and coffee shop in the neighbourhood. We particularly like the veggie sandwich and ham and cheese sandwich, as well as the cheese knot! Coffee drinks are also high quality albeit a little slow. I wish they had more sandwiches on their menu so we could come more often!

Almost forgot to mention the pizza on Friday/Saturday nights is delicious also. The crust might be the best in seattle. Wish they put a little more toppings on them, but still a solid 8/10!

Cool and spacious spot to hang out and to get a coffee. The high ceilings give it a cool, expansive feeling. However, the food and service were “just fine”. I was disappointed in the food. We got a bagel, cheese knot, and pepperoni pizza. It was al mediocre; all were kind of hard and dry. The pizza was a bit too crunchy and salty. Service wasn’t the friendliest or the most welcoming, either. So I would just say, “meh”, if I were asked about this place.

I’m so glad I ate here! If I come back to Seattle, I’m definitely stopping in again. We had the ham & cheese sandwich, focaccia, white chocolate & sesame cookie, cappuccino, and cold brew — everything was delicious. The space is comfortable with high ceilings and a chill atmosphere. The service can be a bit slow, but the food and vibe more than made up for it. Highly recommend!

Had a sun-dried tomato cream cheese bagel, the German potato salad, and a rye chocolate chip cookie. All great! The place is light and airy, lots of windows, nice casual vibe.

I would be prepared to fight for one of the best Lox sandwiches in town, and for a seat . Whoever is doing the curation, they should be thanked, the pairing of their excellent pizza to go along with also the exquisite Chicago style Lox Bagel sandwich is beautiful. Everything is balanced very well, and ask for the sandwich always toasted. Their bagels are excellent also.
