Great bar and grill in downtown Panora with a variety of food and drinks. Everything was fresh and as ordered. Did take a while to get our food, but staff had great communication and let us know there was new staff training. Everyone was friendly and hard at work.

The gal that sat us was also our waitress. No smile nor banter would be coming from this one until it was time to get her tip at the end of the meal. Then she was smily and talkative. When seated she put a pile of napkin wrapped silverware onto the table. We dispersed them and noticed 2 napkins either had food on them or some sort of rusty liquid drips. She got us 2 more.. without a word. When we opened them we had 3 dirty knives and 2 dirty forks. She got more. Nothing from her at all. No apology.. nothing. She stopped by once early on. Don’t remember seeing her after that to refill anyone. My husband had to go get my drink refilled. The two Oreintal Chicken salads were good and fresh. The burgers were just OK. One person’s tater tots were cold. He ate them anyway. The child meal was to have tots but fries were brought out so I found her behind the bar, picking her teeth, using a straw. She took care of it. Once again no apology. I feel when you are the business of working for tips maybe you should make an effort. I’ve worked in that business so I know what I’m talking about. There was almost no effort made in congeniality whatsoever. The tables were very clean. The women’s stall furthest from the door had a very sticky floor but otherwise everything else was clean. We’ve been here before when on our motorcycles and had no complaints. I’m an understanding person. If it’s busy and it takes longer, I understand. If they are understaffed, I understand. Wasn’t the case here. I don’t do reviews. But this was not a fun experience.

Sat down at the bar to order food for lunch. After ordering only a coke, because I was at work, overhead the bartender make the comment hopefully thats not how there day is going to go. Made me feel less than welcome. I tipped over 50% so I wouldnt complain when people dont want to order drinks. You sell food as well. Food was good and the cook came out to check on my tenderloin which was very good.

A great bar and grill, welcoming atmosphere. Great food and service. I’ve been in several times alone, the staff always makes sure to chat a bit, making me feel welcome. The kitchen staff are wonderful. Food is always perfect, tables are always clean. Other customers are always nice.

Love finding hidden local spots you have to bribe folks to find.
We stopped by during a local festival so the menu was limited.
No disappointment.
Wife chose a grilled chicken salad and I opted for the tenderloin.
Salad was fresh, crunchy, and the grilled chicken was tender and full of flavor.
Tenderloin.
Amazing. Top 5 of my entire life.
Believe me, this Iowa boy has eaten an abundance of loins
Crispy, juicy, seasoned perfect, same crisp fresh veggies and it fit the bun. Or the bun fit it.
Best hidden secret in a few counties.

The restaurant no longer has Prime Rib or Steak…which is why we would drive an hour to as their steaks and PR was amazing. They were out of FF cheeseballs…cans of beer….we had 3 sandwiches each with a side that you have to pay separately for. 3 beers…with tip was 90 some dollars. Will be finding a new restaurant….

We stopped here after ice fishing on Panorama on a Saturday night. Wasn’t busy but that didn’t help with the speed of service. Took 10 minutes to be waited on. Another 10+ before drinks came out. Another 45 before cold onion rings came out with one of our entrees. The other three entrees came out another 10 minutes later. The cost of the entrees doesn’t include a side and the burgers are $12ish each. The food was good – other than the cold onion rings. The waitress asked if my husband wanted another beer and we reminded/asked twice again before one came out. Worst part – it’s a “sports bar” but didn’t have the AFC playoff game going on any of the 1/2 dozen or so TVs going. I love supporting small businesses wherever we go, but I won’t be returning to this one.

We had a group of 18 for lunch. Food and service was great! Atmosphere a 4, because they placed round tables end to end rather than square tables.

Stopped in here today for lunch while passing by.

Service was pretty good. The waitresses were nice, but there was one lady that kept trying to help us before the other one did, so whenever the other one showed up she couldn’t help any. It was also not told to me that the card reader had been down until AFTER we were done eating, which was a little upsetting as I don’t like to use cash if I don’t have to.

Prices were… not good. Sides are not included and are another $3-6 more, with sandwich prices being the same as other places WITH sides included. I also requested cheese on my tenderloin, which ended up as $1.75 more for 2 kraft singles??? Come on.

I will say that the food was delicious, and the tenderloin was fantastic, as well as the service from both waitresses being good, hence the 3 stars. However, the prices and not being told about the card reader being down was definitely a bit of a kick in the shin for me. In a small town bar, these prices are just too much.
