The presentation looks nice for the New York strip but it was very undercooked. The dinner rolls tasted like they came out of a bag and were thrown in the microwave for 15 seconds then sent out with some house butter along with butter packages you would get at a diner. Definitely not a five-star restaurant nor is it worth the price for what you get. I do not recommend this place you will be disappointed.

Just had dinner at Owego Steakhouse and it was really good! We ordered the Strip Steak and Dual Lobster tails and both were cooked perfectly! We really enjoyed the mushroom risotto!! We also split the lava cake dessert and it was warm and delicious!! They lost a star because we both ordered the mashed potatoes and they were horrible. They were bland and the only flavor you could taste was garlic. Plus, they were a really off putting brown even though the menu says it’s red potatoes so I’m thinking they were overworked and definitely something I would avoid next time. Overall, we would recommend and will be coming back!

My experience at Owego Steakhouse was excellent. I had the Prime Rib, with sides of asparagus and baked potato. Our appetizer was the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was all fabulous, especially the Prime rib, which was prepared perfectly. It was surprisingly large enough that I could not finish it. My daughter sure was happy when I brought home such a large piece of steak for her to enjoy, which she did.
The staff were incredibly friendly and provided great service. They were busy, but took great care of our small party.
As far as pricing, it was what I expected from experiences at fine dining restaurants like Lampy’s and the Number 5. There were some high ticket items, which I don’t order, yet I assume like any menu they are there for those that want them and can afford them. My meal was certainly worth the price. My next fine dining experience will again be at the Owego Steakhouse.

Absolutely fantastic! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, the flavors in the chicken dishes were spot on, even the salad tasted better than the usual salad. The flaming Greek cheese was delicious, and the presentation was flawless. I would have to say the service was the best I have experienced in a long time, thank you Kyle! This evening was definitely off the charts great and I don’t feel like that even gives it enough credit. Great job!

Great food, menu includes several steaks, seafood, and the Greek chicken wrapped in filo is awesome! Bacon wrapped scallop appetizer excellent. Service, view, and atmosphere perfect! Sides are also great! Dessert selection was a bit small tonight.
It’s pricey: steaks from $28-60; three people $122 bill, with one half-priced glass of wine and no dessert. Great place for a nice meal in Owego.

Ordered the tomahawk steak ($60ish plate), waited 45 minutes for it with only 2 other tables sat, and when it finally came out, it wasn’t edible. Ordered it medium, came out barely seared, still cold in the middle. Romaine salad was not tossed, cheese amount was minuscule, dressing was off tasting. Bread rolls served at room temp. Appetizers were bland.
I went in and ordered the most expensive plate because my family had previously ordered New York strips on their visit, which they had the same complaints about. I hoped it was because they got the cheapest cut, but seems to be a running theme. Not sure if this has to do with who is in the kitchen and when, because if all of the food comes out like ours did, I’m unsure how this establishment has any positive reviews.
Would not recommend.

I have eaten here twice now, first in Dec 2019 and most recently Feb 14 2020. My first visit was a much better experience than the last visit. While I realize that Feb 14 is a busy day, that’s for management to plan and ensure adequate staffing and plans are in place. Issues with Feb 14 visit: I was given a menu which was missing 2 of 3 pages(?), When placing order my dining companion asked a question about an entree and the server’s response was “I don’t know” and no offer was made to ask the kitchen for the answer. After placing order we received our appetizer and bar drink after a 45 minute wait (so in total one hour after arriving). The urinal in the mens room was out of order, leading to a queue for the restroom. The quality of the food was excellent and equal to my first visit. To summarize, I’m very disappointed with the decrease in service. I really try to patronize local businesses. I will come back at some point to see if the service quality has improved. Since this is a 2 in 1 review, I’m rating visit one 4 stars, visit two 2 stars.

I am not sure who gave them the earlier reviews but I can tell you the patrons who were there on 2/9/19 would not be giving the same reviews. My husband and I arrived for an early dinner at around 4:45 and finally got our dinner at 6. The salad arrived after the steak and everything was lukewarm at best. I feel bad for the wait staff who did their best by offering bread on a constant basis. Where is the OWNER? They should be out checking to make sure things are running smoothly. Our steak was cooked correctly but was not seasoned at all, it arrived without a steak knife! There are many things that need improvement if this restaurant is to survive, including lowering their prices for the quality of food. I wish them well, but we will not be returning, as well as several others around us.
