Ordered takeout on Valentines Day- they were understandably busy but the woman on the phone was very short with me when I was discussing food allergies. Picked up the food and when we came home we noticed that one of our rolls was missing. We called and said we were willing to come back and get it but then were told we were wrong about what was missing. After a lot of back and forth they finally agreed to fix their error but were very rude throughout the process. We came back to get our missing roll and was told there may be some allergens in the roll so “be careful”. Unacceptable and very poor service. The food itself was adequate at best but definitely tainted by the very poor customer service.

Good food, good service. She was a little rude at first, acted like we were bothersome for even coming in, but she changed in around pretty quickly. Not sure if that was dependent on the fact that her tip was gonna come from us. The sushi was pretty good. I recommend the shredder. It’s a deep fried roll.

Mediocre sushi, high prices. Called in to order take out and was told “we are not taking orders right now – 20 minutes?” When I asked for clarification the woman hung up. Definitely worth it to skip this place and go down to literally any other sushi place in the valley.

Wasn’t the best experience. The tuna role and spicy tuna weren’t fresh. We had a small table for 4. They didn’t clear out dishes after having sushi until after they placed our dinners. The large portion is not large. These are not shareable plates. The teriyaki beef is not worth 14.00 and there was zero teriyaki flavor. Rushed us out the door. Pretty disappointed after reading prior reviews.

Great sushi! A little expensive but better than most places I’ve been to. Great flavor and good vibe. In most sushi places I feel like all the rolls taste similar. I love the flavors and the service here. Will be back!

Great service over the phone for take out. Sushi was good enough, came with one side of soy sauce. Seaweed salad was fine too. We ordered a large chicken veggies teriyaki bowl- NEVER ORDER!!

My wife and I had just arrived from Denver Airport, after an extremely lengthy drive, just as they were closing. But Helen, the owner, invited us in anyway, brought us a hot sake, took our orders, gave them to the chef who was kind enough to keep the kitchen going. They made us feel so welcome and the food and drink so good and so affordable, I promised we would spread the word. We’re in L.A. Where we know our sushi. The sushi at Owashi is fresh and tasty, but hospitality like theirs is extremely rare. Tell Helen the screenwriter sent you.
