Dog friendly outdoor seating. Love the happy hour with plenty of choices to choose from. It’s available until 7pm. Tiramisu was disappointing, taste like store bought. The wings and lobster risotto are both good.

This is for their brunch. I like their selection of items. Also, complimentary bread and olive oil with balsamic vinaigrette! Their fried chicken and prosciutto panini was good, though a warning, the egg makes it a messy sandwich. I will say none of the flavors really popped out to me, so I won’t say it’s amazing. The potatoes that came with it were good. They’re prepared in a soft style that my mom didn’t like, but I like. The sourdough pancakes have an excellent texture. My mom got the blueberry compote on the side though, so I don’t know how they’re normally like, but it was good with blueberry compote added later. The bacon was good…normal, but good.
Service was good. No abnormal wait or rude service.
I like the atmosphere in the place. We were asked if we prefer low top seating or high top seating, so I guess that’s a nice consideration. The low top chairs were comfy…. Yeah, guess that’s it.

Not sure what has changed at Ovvio but the food has gotten much better. I had brunch here about 2 years ago and it was terrible. I stopped in a few weeks ago and have visited about half a dozen times since. Each meal has been excellent. Love the meatballs, seafood dishes and yes, brunch has improved as well. Prices are reasonable and the crowd is more “local” than the restaurants in the Mosaic District. It feels more like a neighborhood restaurant.

A nice place to enjoy some Italian or weekend brunch!
The place has a wide variety of specials available throughout the week, possibly due to its relatively rather low patronage. The pizza wasn’t my favorite–a bit dry and flavorless. However, the service is outstanding and the owner is always visible. The bar is also very well-equipped.
The weekend brunch saw more great service and had some unique options that tasted fresh and included some affordable mimosas and bloody marys!
While the restaurant is good, I think the two things that hurt them are the name Osteria (not immediately known what that is upon passing by) and its lack of a purpose or theme. It’s not quite a fancy Italian restaurant, but is decorated like one, and has servers dressed to the nines. Offers a “family pasta night” and all day Happy Hour on Thursday. Also pushes it’s pizza. You don’t know by walking by or even after walking in if this place wants to be a party venue, a pizza place, and Italian place, or more about brunch in a rustic environment. They seem to be trying too many things at once.

My husband and I have gone here a couple times for their quickie lunch, which is well priced for the amazing food you get. They have a great selection of lunch items. The food isn’t heavy and tastes very fresh. Everything we’ve tried, we’ve liked! My favorites are the margherita pizza and the mussels. The service can be a little slow when they are busy, but the staff is very friendly and professional. If you are looking for something slightly upscale to take a client, I would definitely recommend this place.

Great food, service was excellent. I had the pizza crust was crisp and the hand pulled mozzarella tasted so fresh. The pizza came out fast, the owner came and asked how everything was. Explained to me about the special oven they used that cooks pizza in 2-3 mins… Great place will definitely go back. Check there specialty drinks very very good.

Aside from the prices – $116 before tip for two dinners, no dessert, no alcohol – what is so amazing about this place? The food was okay. The pizza was soggy in the middle. The fish was dry – stranded as it was in the middle of a plate the size of Kansas – with a drizzle of sauce that did little to moisten it. The salad was enough for two to share. The iced tea was good. The coffee was the best part of the evening – French press and really excellent. The huge front door let in an arctic blast every time it was opened – something needs to be done about that !! The service was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient.

The ambiance is pretty nice & relaxed. They had pretty good happy hour deals. Also, their brunch was great & had $1 mimosas, which I will definitely return for. I would recommend for meals with friends, but probably not for dinner for the first few dates.

Tried it twice.. won’t be coming here again. Expensive and low quality ingredients. Bad service. Weird rules about which menus can be ordered from based on seating.
I paid $24 for a salmon in vodka sauce pasta. The dish smelled horrible and there were a ton of pin bones. I suspect they used canned salmon. For $24 dollars anyone could have done better.

We have mixed opinions on Ovvio Osteria. We had come here a couple times before, actually wondered if they would go out of business it was so slow, but the food and service were great. Recently we came back and it was hoppin (good for them), however everything else was off. Hostesses seemed confused, set us at an ad-hoc table that was kind of in the way of everything. Server brought bottled beer when draft was expected. My pizza was great but my wife’s salmon was dry and flavorless and the veggies tasted like windex or something. Its a little on the pricey side so I expected better.
