This is a very unique spot. It’s a western style cafe setup with big portions of great food. Walking up you can hear the livestock auction going, cattle mooing. Inside you can hear the ranchers talking about ranching. It’s a unique experience that you don’t see often on the west coast. The service is great, the people are nice and the food is always good. It’s a must try for locals and visitors.

A gem in Hanford. My wife and I loved the “cowgirl burger”. I wouldn’t normally go for corned beef and hash, but I tried their special out since it was almost St. Patty’s day, and I’m glad I did. Tasted like good home cooking. Cool to check out the live cow auction as we stepped out of the cafe as well. Overall – satisfied and will return.

Wow. Cowboy burger was out of this world. So good. My wife had the patty melt and said it was really good. Fries are the bomb. Service was outstanding and just feels like a hometown place.

Hands down, the absolute BEST chicken fried steak, anywhere! This is the real deal, no frozen product, everything homemade and delicious. Open Mondays & Thursdays only. Service was great! Very attentive to all our needs. Do yourself a favor & go try it out.

Amazing country style food and real friendly service… you will probably need a to go box considering how big the portions are. Make sure you check their hours as they are only open until 2pm Mon-Thursday.

Overland Cafe is a fine little diner that I’ve visited for the first time in California!
Went there during lunch with a family of 6 and it was a great experience overall. Me and my brother had ordered their famous ‘Cowboy Burger’ and it was the most delicious burger I’ve had in a while (with a hint of spice from the jalapeños, but if you don’t like the spice, the do have an alternate ‘Cowgirl Burger’ that excludes the jalapeños). The servers were nice and always attentive and made sure our experience was good!
Although the menu for a lunch was small, their Cowboy Burger is a must try!
