Ovale is incredible! The sandwiches are unbelievably fresh and delicious. I’ve come back several times just for the sandwiches and their homemade tiramisu. You can truly taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The pizza here is absolutely divine!!! You can really taste the difference in how fresh their toppings are, and their sourdough process makes the most delicious thin crust. One pie is great to split for two people, if you have a crowd I’d order a few.

This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and we just spent 10 days in Sicily over the summer. It’s light, crispy, and delicious. My entire family loves it and it’s a special treat every time. Last night I asked my son, who likes almost nothing, if he was hungry. He said no but when I told him I was thinking of Ovale, he got so excited and his hunger level changed immediately. “Ovale is a different story” were his words. I usually get the Diavola which is so freaking good and my son goes for a straight up Margherita.
Note: I always order pizza well done. Not sure if it’s necessary here but I do request it.
Another note: I always call the number directly, place the order verbally, and it’s ready in 10-15 and then I pick it up myself so I know it’s going to be as fresh as possible. Can’t speak for delivery or ordering through the apps, etc. Just give them a call
Either way I highly recommend Ovale for some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Treat yourself!

Very good pizza. My wife and I went this evening and ordered 2 pizzas (I thought 1 looked small) -the burrata margarita and the mushroom pizza (I can’t recall the actual names). Both were perfection. They bake their on bread in the AM and you can tell how fresh it is. If you’re looking for a great pizza, that is light, fresh – and you don’t feel bad after eating – then this is the place for you. I absolutely will be back for the pie and to try the homemade tiramisu and gelato. Molto bene!

New little pizza take-out spot with delicious pizza! Ordered 3 pies for pick up – margarita, amatriciana, hot honey. Great flavor, great ingredients. The crust is light and flavorful and doesn’t make me feel stuffed like other pizza crusts do. The salads are tasty and so fresh. We tried the gelato too – the flavors are delicious – especially the mango and the passionfruit. Will definitely be back and am excited to try new pizza flavors

So glad that what was formerly It’s Pinsa did not close and instead exists here in Hoboken as Ovale! It was so depressing to see my favorite spots disappear since the pandemic. My favorite pizza! Definitely artisanal and well-crafted. The unique dough blend and lengthy time for fermentation makes the mouth feel and experience a stand-out and crave-worthy! So light and tasty with just the right amounts of each ingredient for a satisfying, balanced and crusty bite. I always get the red funghi pie as I don’t eat mammals. Everyone I’ve brought loves it too and selects different options. It never disappoints! I’m a big eater and I often take home a slice or two. It’s a smaller joint than the earlier location with just a few indoor seats and some outdoor seating depending on the season. I love to bring my dog here after we play in the big dog park a few blocks away. Highly recommended!

Another great place to pick up vegan pizza in Hoboken. This is my favorite so far of the thin-and-crispy genre, if you’re into that. There’s also a delightful outdoor seating area, though, to eat there. The portion and price were perfect for a solo lunch while I work from home, and it was ready very quickly when I ordered from their site.

Ovale is tiny pizzeria on Willow Avenue, right across Hoboken University Medical Center. Their pizza is excellent; the place is clean, charming and welcoming. Their policy is not to sell slices, perhaps to avoid too much foot traffic, so you have to buy a whole pizza. The prices are very reasonable. I am most definitely coming back!
