Stopped here for lunch on way back from a cruise out of Galveston, Tx. I had steak and grilled shrimp with coleslaw and fried okra. My wife had grilled shrimp, sweet potato fries and fried okra.We were more than surprised and satisfied. The food was delicious. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. Service was great and the cost was very reasonable. This restaurant is approximately 2 hours from our home, but the food was so good, we will definitely be making a return trip.

First time I visited…wanted to give them some time to get acclimated with new restaurant. I will say it is small and I can see them having to move to a bigger space soon! Food was excellent! Service needs work. 3 people in the front but all seemed confused and didn’t know who waited on who or what drink orders was done or not yet. No certain person assigned to certain tables so lots of confusion. My appetizer took forever and came out with my food. Didn’t eat it because I wanted to eat my fried food hot. Great food!!!! Just need better service and organization on front line servers. Great people…just unorganized. Oh…and BEST CHEESE GRITS EVER!

I really enjoyed my meal at this place. I wish them the best of success. The onion rings… fried shrimp… fried okra… all of it was so good. This food is NOT poured out of a bag and cooked, and it shows. I was asked if my steak was cooked correctly and how my food was. They care about your experience, so if you don’t say anything to them, it’s your own fault for not letting them make it right. I will ABSOLUTELY come back when passing through this way again.

Got fried shrimp basket with Cole slaw. Slaw was OK. Hushpuppies good. Shrimp bland and not great. Tasted like frozen. Served with little package of sauce. Not worth the price. They were out of oysters and tuna dip. I can understand oysters being unavailable, but do they buy outside tuna dip? On top of that, they charged 3% extra for using a credit card without telling me that upfront. If they had that info posted, I didnt see it. We won’t be back.

Great seafood! We had the fried popcorn shrimp basket (it was a huge platter) and the blackened shrimp plate. Very good! But next time I’m getting the Hamburger Steak! It looked fantastic!! Service was great! Nice place for dinner with friends.

I will withhold my full judgment about the place until they get into the swing of things. The location couldn’t have been better nor could cuisine chosen. I see this restaurant becoming a pillar of the community given enough time.
I can’t attest to their seafood but, the steak I had was quite similar to what you’d find at a Japanese restaurant. It was by no means awful but, their choice in seasoning, cut, and preparation left me with more of a salty-umami taste than what ymone would typically expect from a surf and turf restaurant. The noodles would have paired fantastic with a side of noodles and some soup, but not so much with the sides they have available.
I had a double house salad for my sides which consisted of a bed of lettuce, a pinch of shredded cheese, and store bought ranch. Not entirely awful but, woefully lacking in terms of appeal to other offerings in the area. Perhaps the other sides bring more inspiration with them?
The furniture and table placement was quite nice and I much appreciated the space available. The decor displayed on the walls was rather lack luster by comparison. A mish-mash of “nautical themed” purchases that one would have to assume were picked up from a thrift store. I’m sure that it would improve with time as it grows with the community.

Came in at 4 pm when they opened. Was immediately greeted. Picked out seat. They took drink oder and, within minutes, were back to take order. Waitress checked frequently to make sure everything was going well.

The owner was unprofessional, disrespectful, and made uncomfortable comments towards a young woman I know and harassed her husband. The behavior felt inappropriate and unsettling. I would definitely caution others when interacting with a man this questionable in moral, especially young women!
