Reviews
Upgrading to the wedge salad was amazing. Medium sirloin steaks were excellent. My sweet potato was perfectly cooked and my husband baked potato was excellent specially with the salt on the outside. The brown bread is always good and my Alice Springs chicken was perfect and not dry. The boomerang cheese sticks actually look like boomerangs.
The food preparation was quite a bit upsetting because they didn’t clean the end of the plates before serving.
The salad provided was not that fresh.
We love steaks, but the steaks here – we were not happy.
The drinks, nah!
Experience/Environment: Overall experience was a ok this visit. Host interaction was awesome. The girl in the front was very welcoming.
Price: Outback is a staple so you pretty much expect to pay what you pay. Twin lobster tails with two side sides for $35, can’t beat that.
Food: My lobster was cooked very well. You can taste the sweetness of the lobster while it’s still being tender. The seasoning on the lobster could be enhanced. The butter also didn’t taste like butter. The steak was undercooked when it came out, so we had to send that back to be fixed. The wings were perfect, seasoning was good, crispy, didn’t disappoint.
Service: Armando was our server. And honestly, he didn’t seem to want to be there. I mean, I get it because who wants to be at work. A few minutes after we sat down, there wasn’t an introduction it was just a quick hello and what would you like to drink and I think he asked if he wanted any appetizers (we barely even got our menus at this point,) and then he ran away. He said it’s so fast. All I heard were drink and appetizer so I’m not even 100% if that’s what he said. Later, we heard the server at the next table talk about specials. That would’ve been nice to share.
When he came back to get our order, I tried to slow him down by asking him how his day was. And that was the only moment he paused. When the steak came out, we couldn’t even locate him to tell him it was undercooked. The host had to help us. The last interaction was him coming by asking quickly if we wanted any dessert and then we can pay on the little machine when we’re ready.
I understand the Saturday night rush. I just wish there was a little more care. I’m not asking for the level of attention to be babied, outback is just a family restaurant, so friendly is expectation. I know the difference between rushing and urgency — and the way he rushed with us throughout the night, it would’ve been better if we had a different server than a perfunctory one. I feel bad if his day was super annoying yesterday and this review won’t make it any better. Just sharing some thoughts and I hope you have a better rest of your weekend.
On top of the amazing food, David made the experience even better. He greeted our table with such genuine warmth and friendliness, making us feel welcome right away. His attentive service and positive attitude really stood out and set the tone for a wonderful meal.
Highly recommend—both the food and the service were outstanding!
Huge shoutout to the cook, Dallas!
Whoever you are back there on the grill, you are the real MVP! My steak was tender, juicy, and had that perfect Outback char — hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The sides were on point too, which proves the attention to detail is top tier.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Thank you to the entire team for a great night out, but especially to Dallas — keep doing your thing!
