I came to Outback Steakhouse on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 for a little self-date before starting keto—my final hurrah. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for what I expected to be an after-church rush, so I got seated quickly. The dining area was very clean, the atmosphere relaxed, and the other guests were pretty quiet, which made it a nice solo outing. The bathrooms weren’t very clean, but that’s unfortunately hit or miss when you’re out in public.
I was seated in Samuel’s section, and he was great—very kind, attentive, and offered suggestions, although I already knew I was here for one of their signature steaks. I purposely came early because they tend to sell out later in the day.
To start, I ordered a Bloomin’ Onion and of course had the bread (my favorite part of coming here!). The Bloomin’ Onion came out hot and delicious. For my entrée, I ordered a ribeye medium well with broccoli and asparagus. Unfortunately, the steak came out medium rare—pretty bloody—so after tasting a bit and realizing it wasn’t to my liking, I stuck to my veggies.
I also tried their seasonal Gingerbread Fizz. I got mine virgin since I’m not an alcohol drinker. It basically tasted like a creamed Coke with a hint of lime. If you don’t like lime, you probably won’t enjoy it, so I wouldn’t personally recommend this drink.
Overall, the experience was good despite the steak being undercooked. The staff was friendly, Samuel provided great service, and I appreciated being able to pay right at the table with their little checkout device. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, it made getting in and out quick and easy.
I expected the price—steakhouses are steakhouses—but I do wish I could have actually enjoyed my steak. Other than that, everything else was solid. I’d come back, but hopefully the cooking temperature is right next time.

Good service, clean environment. I always like coming to this outback as their Steaks are prepared perfectly, the staff is always on top of their service and greet you with a smile. My wife and I ordered a ribeye steak each tonight, one with broccoli and cheese and the other with a fully loaded potato, both came with a fresh garden salad, I was super crispy and delicious. Will keep coming back!

Anthony at outback in Tempe AZ was an amazing server with attention to detail.. i ate alot of it before the picture…but the food was hot and served in a timely manner.

Mark created an absolutely delightful experience tonight, and he is a huge part in why it was so special!
From the moment my family and I arrived, Mark’s warmth, attentiveness and fantastic recommendations really stood out. Mark has an instinct for knowing just what’s needed, making us feel completely at ease and incredibly well looked after throughout the evening.
We certainly noticed how moderately busy things were, but Mark handled everything with such impressive calm and efficiency – it was truly remarkable! Mark was always patient while we ordered for the kids (4 under 10) and genuinely friendly about it, even with all the hustle and bustle of nice paced Phoenix.
Thanks Mark for turning what could have been just a regular dinner meal into something truly memorable and enjoyable. Your outstanding service made all the difference!

I had dinner with a girlfriend at this spot tonight and I can’t say enough HOW MUCH FUN we had and HOW INCREDIBLE our meals tasted. Our server was Anthony and this guy is quite possibly one of the best servers I’ve ever had in a dining experience (and I’m in my 40’s). This guy is definitely going somewhere in his life! He’s an incredible people person, beyond hospitable and very obviously intelligent. We’re definitely coming back and requesting his table area! MANAGEMENT – take note and promote this guy! (But make sure he still serves when I come in, haha!) ——THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME experience that I think we’ll remember for some time 🙂

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and Caity is the reason why. She was funny, smart, and absolutely stunning, with the kind of personality that makes the whole place feel more fun the second she walks up to the table. Our drinks were never empty, the food was perfect, and she kept us laughing all night while still being completely on top of everything. The steakhouse was already great, but Caity took it to another level. We’ll definitely be back and low-key hoping she’s our server again
