A nice ambiance and set-up with attentive and friendly staff.
A good menu with delicious food.
I love the Aussie cheese fries and almost always get them, which is kind of sad because the blooming onion is also really good!
For steak, I like to go with the filet, cooked medium. And their house salad is one of my favorite restaurant salads.
The bread was wheat and fresh and soft, served with butter—not quite Texas Roadhouse roll caliber but they were free and fine.
The mashed potatoes were traditional, with skins. The macaroni and cheese also had some smokiness, topped with breadcrumbs and chives. The steak was cooked medium rare, pretty accurate, though maybe just a touch more on the medium side. It had a very thick crust, a little too charcoaly for my taste. The ahi tuna was very good—seared and served cold, almost like a refreshing salad. The portion was generous, and the dressing on the side was tasty and complemented it. It’s a full-sized portion that could easily be an entrée. The dressing tasted like the store-bought ones but I do enjoy those.
The shrimp were very smoky, and a bit underwhelming, and served on bread.
Service was decent, with someone checking on us shortly after the food was brought out. I wasn’t a fan of the pitcher sitting on the table. We were seated closest to the door, but there was plenty of space in the restaurant for larger groups. It was also a bit drafty, but it wasn’t too bad. It took just over 25 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. Service in general was decent nothing to complain about but nothing special.
The wait time was ridiculous. We were quoted one timeframe and ended up sitting there far longer with little to no communication from staff. No updates, no urgency — just waiting while watching other tables get served.
When the food finally showed up, it was completely unacceptable. The steak was clearly undercooked — not slightly off, but noticeably wrong. For a steakhouse, that’s inexcusable. Other items were cold and poorly plated, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. For the prices they charge, the quality was nowhere near acceptable.
Service made things worse. It was difficult to get basic things like refills, and no one bothered to properly check in after dropping the food. When you’re serving undercooked meat, you should at least care enough to make sure it’s right. Instead, it felt like once we had our plates, we were forgotten.
This location seriously needs to reevaluate kitchen standards, food quality control, and front-of-house management. Between the long wait, undercooked food, and inattentive service, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Would not recommend.
