We got the Blooming Onion, it was great! I ordered the center cut steak with baked sweet potato and Cesare salad. There was a blob of brown sugar in my sweet potato, which made it too sweet. I had to scoop it out. Other than that it was good food. The food seemed a bit slow coming out, but it was Tuesday night, not busy.

I’ve become a regular curbside pick up customer for a few weeks now for work and the food and service has been great every time! They always make sure to bring out my food as scheduled and each employee has been very kind, as well! I also want to shout out Jeff specifically, the owner of this restaurant! He’s been so great every interaction, very personable and goes out of his way to make sure I’m having a good day. 🙂

This is my first time at Outback Steakhouse in probably 20 years. This new location is lovely and well appointed. The service was excellent and attentive and very well trained. The food was in massive portions commensurate with the prices. You probably don’t need one appetizer per person, in fact, 1 appetizer per 3 or 4 people is probably going to work better. I had some chicken and it was nicely done. The baked sweet potato was good also. For me one of the stars was the excellent Caesar salad with fresh grated cheese on it. We found that the steak was tasty albeit a little overcooked for the temperature we requested. And of course the blooming onion was huge and great. Again, huge.

It’s been a while since I’ve been and granted it was almost closing time, but the bread (my favorite) was stale, and they seared my steak so much that the outside was hard. The flavor was still great but hard to chew. I guess that’s how they cook them now? Bring back the good ole butterfly. And the mushrooms were not the usual sautéed mushrooms you get at other places. They were pickled and on the side. Everything else was great, including the service.

I have never wrote a food review before but I have never been so disappointed in a place that I have always really enjoyed. Seated immediately…unusually slow. For a Sunday evening..we wondered why it was so slow, we have always had a wait. debated on food choices..prices have gone up so much. This Used to be our go to place. We ordered Queensland’s chicken and shrimp. NOTHING like it used to be! The shrimp tasted rubbery and flavorless the pasta not cooked long enough so firm… it wouldn’t roll up on the fork, the sauce was room temperature to on the cool side and no flavor even the chicken looked like it was flattened out frozen reheated. Terrible! You lost us. We won’t be back!

I expected better when I shouldn’t have. All the places that are similar to this are all not as good as they used to be. My wife ordered the blooming onion burger which was good. I got the shrimp and steak Alfredo. Let’s just say if I lined up tv dinner Alfredo and this Alfredo you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

With recent experiences at the competition (i.e. Texas Roadhouse, Ruby River), Outback was a refreshing change. Great food, quieter atmosphere (you can actually have a conversation), and cooked to perfection. The seasoning on the Strauss, blooming onions and the sides was just right. I regret not coming here very often. This might just be my new favorite, non-arm-and-a-leg, steak house!
