Visited on Sunday 02/09 for my birthday. We had a wait (expected because it was 15 of us). Staff was super friendly. Drinks were on point, food was good. Our waitress Shonna went above and beyond!! THANK YOU ALL!!!! If you are in the Albany area, be sure to visit this establishment!!

We had a party of 4 and got seated pretty fast last night 3/4/2026. We all ordered steaks . I had a ribeye medium rare… very under seasoned and undercooked. One person ordered a rare steak and it came medium rare. All 4 Steaks were under seasoned and undercooked. We also wanted to order the blackberry sangria. When we asked the bartender about making it, she nonchalantly stated they didn’t have any … well why is it on the menu as a new item and you don’t have any? Our salads came before our meals. There seems to be an extreme apathy for details and providing the advertised customer experience. We didnt have that.

Me and my wife sat at the bar and it was awful the bartender was all over the place he would walk away to go smoke and leave the bar unattended he had no clean cups had to keep refilling our same glasses we were drinking draft. The management just stood there and allowed this to go on. The food was good once we got it. But the atmosphere and the service sucks.

Although the server was super friendly, he must’ve been new at this and the kitchen may have had issues. We were the only table here at 5:00. It took long enough for the 8 of us to get drinks that we were like, “Where did he go?” Four got their salads first and were completely finished before the other four salads came out. I’d ordered coconut shrimp as my dinner, but it wasn’t served with the rest of the food. When he came back to check on us, (like 2/3 min)I asked for the shrimp & he said he forgot them & would be right back. He stopped at a fresh table of 7 to take drink orders before going to get my dinner. When he finally brought it, the plate was so hot it burnt my hands, leaving me to believe it must’ve been made with the salads and sat under the heat lamp for that 20+ minutes, even though he said he would put it in as an entrée. My son ordered a specialty lemonade and waited over 15 minutes for that. For the restaurant to be so empty, the service was very disappointing. The server did clear the table throughout the meal, but upon leaving we saw alI of our removed dishes on a table next to the new table the server had taken! They seem to be lacking enough staff to offer appropriate service and are definitely lacking in training the server on the flow of waiting on multiple tables. I hadn’t been to this restaurant since an incident in 2008, but came here for my friend’s BD. Based on the service, it might be another 17 years before I go back.

So this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience at this location but I figured I’d give it one more shot. I should’ve gone with my gut. My kids and I had a nice day and figured we’d splurge and stop and eat before we head home. We walked in and it was dead but yet we waited and waited before we were even acknowledged even though a few employees saw us standing there. We were seated in the bar area and waited again. Finally the bartender came over by the way she wasn’t busy with patrons so no excuse as to why it took so long and the restaurant was dead. She took our drink and app order and said she’d be back. We got our drinks and waited and waited and waited and some nice young gentleman brought our app after a long amount of time. Which I can assume the cook was not having a good day. Our cheese fries looked like a small order with barely any cheese and been sitting under the broiler a little too long. Finally our waitress came to take our order. A burger, the bloomin chicken and I had the fried shrimp appetizer. We wait and wait and wait and I mean we are waiting. No one comes by to ask to refresh our drinks anything. Finally food comes.. burger and chicken. The lady who brought the food asked me what I had ordered because our waitress won’t come to our table anymore. And I told her the fried shrimp appetizer. I can only assume that it was forgotten because that has happened to me before twice. After about 8 minutes my dish finally arrives. All the food is inedible. My son’s burger is actually so greasy that it’s sliding off the bun! I kid you not! Slid off the bun but he was so hungry he tried to eat a bit. He ate a quarter of it and couldn’t eat anymore. My daughter couldnt eat her food. No flavor in the Mac and cheese in either of sides and her chicken was so thinly floured you couldn’t taste the seasoning.( I’ve had that before and it’s usually thicker battered) my shrimp felt like it soaked up half the oil . No one still came by to see how we were doing. I had to paid the bill on the table top tablet and we left all our food behind. We all came home sick and my son ended up throwing up. We will NEVER come back to this establishment again. You couldn’t pay me. I hate leaving bad reviews and I actually don’t but I had to on this one. $87 for bad food.

Initially, we were seated in a booth in the bar. No server except the bartender. She yelled over the bar to our booth to ask our drink order, but I suppose she got distracted. When we asked again about 10 minutes later, she told another server to “get them some drinks so they’ll stop staring at me.” She said it loudly so we could clearly hear. We weren’t staring…. just trying to look around fir service. We then asked to be moved. That was extremely rude. We hadn’t been here for a couple years because the last time we came, the food wasn’t great. Considering today’s awful treatment, we’re not likely to come back for a long while…. if ever.

Shonna was AMAZING!!! Seriously some of the best service I’ve received. Very attentive, very knowledgeable, and very friendly, this was top notch! I haven’t been to Outback in years, and now when I visit Albany, I will ask for Shonna.

I ordered the medium rare prime rib dinner. I received a medium well with a huge glob of fat. I couldn’t eat it. It was too chewy and overall just not good. For the price I paid, I am very disappointed.

So after driving 4 hours to come down to have lunch with son and grandkids it was a disappointment. Took forever to get food, asked for sundae for granddaughter, the waitress didn’t know what i was talking about and had to show her on kids menu, she never brought it, asked for to go boxes, they never came, the big tip she wanted, she never got. Thanks for ruining our lunch.
