The food we initially ordered, we were later told they were out of. Almost 30 minutes later. Bread was never brought. When we inquired about the bread, we were told we had already received it. If so, what happened to the board and knife.

My husband and I dine here a few times a week. We sit at the bar. Staff are very friendly, courteous and anxious to please. Jasmine and Joe always take special care in preparing our steak! They are awesome!!!

Just recently went to the location in newport news. My daughter was out of school so I took her and a friend. The service was awful the server was sporting her brainds which I hear is the new tick tock way of getting better tips not working. Spend more time taking care of your costumers and less time worrying about tick tock. She was awful the food was nothing exciting. My daughter got the all you can eat soup and salad. She changed to the strawberry salad so she charged me 7 dollars plus the all you can eat price. She was very rude when I bought it up. So I had to involve management I am so tired of Outback. Never again.

We ordered at 730 online, they told us to arrive at 8. We arrived at 806 at the takeaway parking. After 15 minutes of no one we called and they said someone would check on us. Waited another 10 minutes, go up to the order bringer and ask him about it. Says he would bring us a manager, manager comes out and says he’ll check on it, I don’t see that guy again. 9pm rolls around still no order while everybody else is getting theirs, 5 minutes later they bring our order out with a mere 10% discount for waiting an hour. Keep in mind this order was for only 4 people, not a big asks. This is the second time we’ve had this happen. Stop giving these excuses about having a lot of orders on the weekend, and staffing. That is not your customer’s issue! Hire more people, and pay them a decent wage so you don’t have these problems!

My 11 yr old wanted to dine at Outback Steakhouse for her birthday. She ordered an 11oz center cut sirloin with broccoli and Mac n cheese recommended by server. The steak was NOT tender, broccoli was lacking in flavor, and the macaroni- well let’ s just say that my daughter who LOVES Mac n cheese ate only 1 bite. She says it was creamy not cheesy. I was going to try it but it looked and smelled weird. My 19 yr old daughter and I both had the prime rib sandwich. The “provolone” ( which I love btw)reminded me strangely of Swiss cheese- which I do not like. So I was not happy with my sandwich- to say the least.My 19 yr old disliked her sandwich as well. We will not be returning to spend $136 for dinner that is not prepared to our tastes. Oh I almost forgot: server was pleasant but neglected removing dirty dishes from table as she refilled drinks and we finished our appetizer.

I’m not normally one to leave reviews, but I had to make an exception. I haven’t eaten at Outback in NN for quite some time because of the quality of both the food and the service over the last few years. When Hampton closed down, I had to make an exception. I was pleasantly surprised. The food and service along with the overall atmosphere was unlike anything I remembered. It was as it the employees were happy to be at work. That is rare these days. They seemed to enjoy their job and it showed in the food and service. I will definitely be back. Great job to the team. They have completely changed my mind and I couldn’t be happier about it.

My family and I arrived at Outback Steakhouse in Newport News at 9:00 on Saturday. We had a party of 7. The guy that greeted us asked how many were in our party and then continued to make faces at the chart while telling us they just turned away a party of eight. I asked him how many people were on the floor and he said 5, but was about to cut two of them. I was surprised that they would be cutting servers if they had customers coming in, especially on a Saturday at 9:00 when the store closes at 11:00. He continued to say he would check with management and we had the option to wait 25 minutes to be sat, but I decided in that moment, we would not be dining there. I consulted with my party and we called Texas Roadhouse who immediately jotted our party down on the wait list. No wincing or making poor excuses like our experience with Outback. I will never return. I hope others find this review useful.
