Atmosphere is sad and dull.
The kitchen needs help, they are slow, and not efficient in the preparation of the food, we had to wait a long time. Maybe that’s why they fill you up with the endless bread, and give you a table monitor to play games.
The food was ok, I was impressed with my steak, mediocre sides, can’t really mess up fries, baked potatoes and steamed broccoli, nothing spectacular.
You can feel fancy here ordering a steak on a week night special for under $15.
Will be going back to try more soon.
UPDATE:
I went back for the all you can eat Soup, and Salad, but beware, as not all a flat rate, if you try something different, then you get charged three or four dollars more depending upon what you order.
The Chilli tasted burnt for some reason, with too much tomato, so it was quite acidic.
French Onion Soup and Baked Potato Soup was tasty.
The house salad cucumbers were pre-cut, and some were wilted due to sitting in the fridge too long, croutons slightly stale. Please taste your food before you serve it!!
The Wedge was tasty, loved the bacon on this!
The Caesar salad was made with Iceberg, and NOT Romaine lettuce, so the dressing made it a sloppy mush of a salad, not crisp like it should be.
The best part was my $10 steak and rice on the take away special, left feeling great about that.
Ernesto my server was very kind and sweet, he did a good job.
Medium: A warm pink center
Medium Well: A slight hint of pink
Well Done: Completely cooked through with no pink at all. Get a meat thermometer if you aren’t sure!!!
However, what I received was far from accurate. I asked for medium I received dry and over cooked. If you’re going to serve steaks, you should at least know how to cook them properly.
The coconut shrimp was another letdown. The oil must have been too hot because they were overcooked and lacked the delicate balance a good fry should have.
And then there’s the wait time… ridiculous. While the food may have looked appetizing from the outside, the taste and texture left much to be desired. Outback should seriously consider retraining their kitchen staff if they want to live up to their reputation.
(PS, me and my wife also appreciated the tone down music not blaring at our ears)
The beer was cold but the restaurant was on the warm side.
The food came out on the cold side.
It was all good not just what I would have expected.
I went back a few days later and the restaurant was still very warm like the AC was broken or something.
I don’t think I would go back here again to eat.
The other locations I have been didn’t have these issues.
Came for Veterans Day was greeted with an overpacked waiting area, a crudely written sign saying they’re only offering grilled chicken despite the website offering otherwise, and was told a table for two would be sat in 15-30 min. Came to find out, that was the same wait time other parties were told but have been waiting for at least 30-45 min. After 20 min we left and over 3 hrs later still never got a message that a table was available.
Same crappy service was given for Valentine’s Day a year or two back, like management just doesn’t care and doesn’t want to improve. Tried giving this place a second chance but it’s sadly just another run down poor excuse of a restaurant, won’t be giving this location a third chance to disappoint.
