My partner and I had dinner here tonight and had such a great experience! The food was pretty good, but the most amazing part was the service. We sat in the bar area—first at the bar for drinks, then at one of the banquettes by the bar—and were served by the same two bartenders. They were so nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. You could tell they really enjoy what they do. We’d honestly go back just for the warm, friendly service alone! Great job to the bar team—we’ll definitely be back!

A good meal in a casual yet welcoming environment. I have wanted to have a blooming onion for a long while. It did not disappoint. We also had the chicken sandwich, Outback Burger and a Wedge Salad. All was good. My burger was ordered medium but was presented as almost raw. I did not fuss over this and ate it anyway. I find the same faux pas was executed by Fuddruckers as well. I’m not sure how they can get steaks right and get the doneness of a burger two levels undercooked. I have only so much money for eating out so I’m not sure if I would go again.

Where to start.. wanted to take my family of 6 out for a nice family dinner. Arrived and were immediately seated, so far so good, 20 minutes later our server decides to appear and welcome us and take drink orders. Two of us are excited to try the featured “Croc-Tail” drink special, another ordered smoked old fashioned and the others, some beers. 5 minutes later our waitress appears and we are informed the bar is out of “Croc-Tails” but we can have 2 plastic crocodiles as a consolation prize. Ok pivot to other drinks. Order Blooming Onion app now… ahead of main order to give extra time to come out. Wait a solid 15 minutes for drinks, no blooming onion yet. Main orders are made including one person who wanted soup as entree, some steaks and 2 “Perfectly Grilled Sslmon” entrees. Only now do they offer us bread, unfortunately they didnt give us bread plates. Finally bring drinks but server (who took order) has no idea who ordered what. Old Fashioned was smoky but in sticky glass with soda straw.
Next up, Blooming Onion app….NOPE! Salads and the soup that was supposed to be entree. Ask about onion and told they are working on it, salads before apps, no bueno. Finally bring onion and good as usual.
Onwards… entrees.. well let’s say the salmons were Perfectly …….”Raw”.. server has disappeared from the restaurant, finally returns and we show her raw salmons. Response.. let me get the manager. Great! 5 min… 10 min.. waiting, finally grab busboy and ask him for manager. Finally manager shows and immediately credits us for the salmons .. but rest of us are done eatIng so dinner ruined .. manager does offer a free dessert to go. Server nowhere to be found, dirty dishes still on table, just want the bill so we can leave. 20 minutes later.. we finally get bill. Amazingly it’s accurate, Tip commensurate with service received.
Just a terrible experience from start to finish and will not be returning anytime soon. Outback? More like out backwards I’ve never been served disappointment so fast.

Our waitress Audra was great! Not only was she attentive, but she went above and beyond to find me a koala straw companion! I was thrilled to say the least. The Tuesday $24.99 steak, lobster tail and two sides was a huge hit for me and my guest. Steak was yummy, and the lobster as well! My first lobster might I add! We also shared the chocolate cake for 2! Boy oh boy was it big! Happy campers indeed. Thanks for making my guest’s birthday a hit!

I cannot say enough about Megan Heath and her team! We hired them to cater our swim team’s holiday party for 150 people, and when a storm knocked out the power at her location just hours before the event, Megan didn’t give up.
While most managers would have just cancelled and refunded us, Megan coordinated with the Parsippany Outback, drove there herself to get the food prepared, and delivered everything hot and fresh. She and Emma stayed to help serve and ensure our gluten-free and dairy-free kids were taken care of.
Megan truly went above and beyond to save our party. If you want a team that is professional, resourceful, and genuinely cares about their customers, look no further. The WMY Swim Team is so grateful!

We ordered two steaks, and both were really disappointing. One of them was completely undercooked inside, even though we asked for extra well done. Also, both steaks tasted like they had been frozen and then just grilled — no real flavor or juiciness.
It’s surprising because we’ve been to another Outback before, and the steaks there were great
The potatoes were fine, but that’s just potatoes — the main point of coming here is the meat.
Honestly, they either need to lower the price or improve the quality of the meat, because $94 for two bad steaks is really not worth it.

In terms of food quality, this is one of the better Outbacks in the region, which is why we often drive out of our way to visit this location even though it’s nearly twice as far as the closest location. Unfortunately, we have had the wait staff fraudulently charge our payment method on two separate occasions. In both cases we paid with a card and gave the wait staff a 20%+ cash tip. The wait staff then initiated a separate charge on our card to give themselves a second tip. Management refunded us both times, but provided no apology and gave no indication that the thieving wait staff would be held accountable, which suggests the problem is not taken seriously. The fact that it happened a second time well over a year later confirmed what we already suspected. The next time it occurs I intend to file criminal charges.

Food is good blooming onion was really good! The drinks are not watered down. Good prices nice atmosphere. Celebrated a birthday didn’t pay for dinner. However the prices are not bad for steak.

Food was spot on but what was my favorite part is our waitress. She must of had about 6 tables but she didn’t skip a beat . Definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I am no one for chain restaurants, but this outback location in Ledgewood was midway between a very good friend of mine in Pennsylvania and me in Northeast New Jersey so I agreed to meet there for lunch. What impressed me the most was our server Daniella (“Danny“) and her friendly, efficient, and cheerful way she helped suggest what we would like versus what we could not have due to dietary restrictions. The manager was also so kind as well saying “OK to stay and chat don’t feel rushed”. The food was far better than any other I’ve experienced at outback restaurants East of this location. Well done!
