I’ve been to Outback before, but my recent visit to the Wayne location was really disappointing. The food quality just isn’t what it used to be. Other reviewers have mentioned the same issue—inconsistent cooking and declining standards .
The Bloomin’ Onion, their signature dish, was way too oily. It used to be crispy and delicious, but this time it was just a greasy mess. I’ve seen other diners complain about deep-fried items being overly greasy too .
Portions have gotten much smaller. You’re paying more and getting less. Multiple reviews confirm this—one person called it “ridiculously overpriced” for what you get, with a group of 4 spending $275 and feeling ripped off . I totally agree with these.
Here’s the thing to watch out for: The tip was already included in our bill, but they didn’t tell us anywhere. We didn’t notice, so we added an extra tip on top. Only realized we paid double after we got home and checked the receipt properly. It’s not right that they hide this—they should clearly let customers know so this doesn’t happen.
Sadly, I won’t be coming back. Too expensive, quality slipping, and sneaky billing practices. If you do go, check your bill very carefully before paying!

Place is good no complaints they let my moms service dog come in with us so that was a big plus and the food was good everything cooked well but for the price they really need to make it bigger portions but either way 8/10

Had another great experience at Outback in Wayne tonight. Our server Tori was very helpful and knowledgeable about gluten free items. The manager came out to reconfirm that they were aware of my wife’s allergy. In addition, the quality and service of the restaurant is great. We have been going to outback for over a decade and noticed that the food quality has gotten even better and everything is cooked to perfection. Thank you for another great dinning experience.

Stopped in for our annual New Years Eve take out. As I waited the vibe inside was upbeat and festive. All the servers had on those shinny foil hats and were spreading the cheer. Food was ready sooner than estimated, scored some extra bread and shot home to the family. Everything we ordered was cooked & packaged as requested. Seems like the dinner salads got bigger…winning ! Dennis runs an outstanding restaurant, glad he’s here in Wayne. Happy New Year all, cheers.

My experience was horrible. Its very sad to know that any place under the sun would serve such disgusting food. Wings were extremely soggy and drenched in oil. The full rack of ribs of which I only ate the ends were also so slimy and the sauce was overly salty and bitter. The salad was turning red from days or weeks of storage. But even the drinks!!! I couldn’t finish the second one. The waitress noticed and offered to take it off my check but I had already paid. I was dying to get out of there. The drink was so sweet it gave me an instant head and stomach ache. Even my daughter couldn’t eat the chicken or mac and cheese and she is 6. Ive never heard her say “Dad, can we just so somewhere else this doesn’t taste good.” Complete waste of money. My server was nice but a little overly sweet where I felt like she was talking to a toddler. Overall a terrible experience and I would only recommend this place to people I hate.

Just had dinner at Outback Steakhouse here in New Jersey and honestly, it was awesome. The steak was cooked to perfection, sides were on point, and everything had great flavor. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back soon

Ordered a catering tray of the Mac & Cheese and was extremely disappointed. What I received was basically a pan of plain noodles with almost no sauce or flavor. It’s nothing like the Mac & Cheese served when dining in. Completely unacceptable and feels like a rip‑off.
