Many don’t know that Out of Town Bistro is now under new ownership and a lot has seemed to change!! This has been my go-to lunch, brunch and dinner spot for the last two weeks and I have not been disappointed yet!!!! They took their time creating a calm atmosphere and curated a specialty cocktail menu with beautiful glasses to match each drink (the Peelin’ Good is my FAVORITE). The shrimp scampi, truffle fries ans salmon are my go-to orders every time!!! You can catch me eating here everyday of the week the food is great, I’m not breaking the bank, the staff is so polite and the place stays clean. 10/10 from me!!

Genuinely wanted to give this spot another try after a not so pleasant experience the first time of attempting to grab some food and a drink late on a Saturday night.. We figured the BOTTOMLESS MIMOSA BRUNCH has to be the Sunday Albany spot to be at..
There was only one table in before us, maybe 6-8 people, not too large but also not overwhelming to handle.
There was 1 person taking the orders, mixing the drinks & serving. 1 other person seen running the food.
The mimosas were heavily sugary juice in plastic cups.. at least let the table handle the mixing of the juice and champagne, utilize the small bottles for portion control or let the table buy the whole bottle to handle..
The food arrived in to go containers. I wondered why the food was already in to go containers, first thought it was helping with dishes with short staff, I can understand that. nope, FOOD WAS BEING ORDERED & BROUGHT IN FROM ANOTHER RESTAURANT DOWN THE STREET!
Nothing was actually cooked in house.
Found out when the order came incorrectly, someone was unable to eat the food that was brought to the table, they had to re enter the order. Due to the sugary juice, my friend could not wait any longer for the food to arrive to eat (1.5 already being there still waiting to eat) left the restaurant to go home. My friends seen the food runner, bringing food from another restaurant
I then waited another 15 mins for the manager to come back to remove items off the check we never received. Absolutely not worth it, I have no idea what we even paid almost 200$ for.
The manager could give no cares about what was happening, he looked miserable being there himself same with the server, I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t wanna deal with that environment and have to serve people with the constant chirping of the detectors that need batteries changed. The bathrooms were even worse, clogged toilets with no soap paper towels or toilet paper. I think little less hookah smoking and little more working could make this place successful…

Top notch.
Had a delicious Chop Cheese. Onion rings were very tasty with Parmesan garlic sauce too. Turkey burger, salmon dinner, and fried chicken were hits too. Service is good, and the food came out quick. Wall murals and decoration make Out of Town a nice place to be.
I’ll be back.

We were looking for a place to eat since we only had a few hours to spend in Albany, found this place online. Will be honest at first I wasn’t so enthusiastic about the place we walked by without noticing the entrance. The place was empty, so we got a table right away. We order the food and drinks. Our waitress came several times to the table to check on us. The fried chicken with the mac and cheese was amazing but the rice was not much. As appetizer, we got chicken egg rolls and they were delicious. Definitely try their banana pudding it was the best way to end our trip to Albany.

Our experience was OUTSTANDING, and we will certainly return. The service from T was impeccable. She was welcoming, friendly, attentive all with a pleasant smile. Although we initially planned to stop by for just one drink, we ended up staying for hours. Thank you T!

The owners were great and made a point to introduce themselves and check in on us, a rare and appreciated gesture. We had just come from dinner elsewhere so we only sampled a few finger foods which included buffalo chicken egg rolls, philly egg rolls, and fries, all of which were generously portioned and delicious.

The music selection was perfectly balanced for the occasion, a nice calm flow of R&B filling the speakers of every room. Subtle enough that we didn’t have to yell to have a conversation, but loud enough to sing along if your favorite song came on.

The handcrafted cocktails were innovative and unlike anything else you’d find in the area. The Drunken Fish was garnished with actual Swedish fish candy, and the coconut mojito with strawberries and mint was sublime. However, the Peeling Good was the standout, refreshing and transporting us to tropical paradise packed with flavors of coconut, pineapple and banana, Delicious!!!

Ambiance 10/10. Service 10/10. Food 10/10. Drinks 10/10. Music 10/10. Owners/Staff 10/10.

Chloe is the best waitress ever- The food is delicious. The lamb chops are A1 on your birthday. You can get a free drink tower. It’s like 100 ounces of alcohol. OK enjoy

I just moved to NY in November and have been trying all of the great eatery that this state has to offer. I found this place on Tik Tok then started following their FB page. When I tell you everything was 100/10, most definitely recommend!!!!! We had the lovely, the beautiful, the charismatic JW bringing us delicious eats and drinks!!!!! The cherry on top is that this gem is #BlackOwned. What is my saying???? Always bet on black and you’ll win every time!! I will definitely be back. Ohhh and thy stay open until 1 am. Clock iiiiiiiiiiit!

I came to Out of Town Bistro with two people. I didn’t know what to expect. It has two levels: downstairs seems to be for a quick bite and upstairs seems to be for a dine in experience.

The person who did the interior decor gave the place a bohemian dive kind of feel. The place is dark and moody with painted wooden booths, lowkey lighting, and colorful wall art that evokes a graffiti street art vibe. Two young women were smoking hookah which was unexpected, but I liked it. It fit the interior.

Now the food. I did not know it was a soul food place! They had fried chicken, fried fish, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, potato salad…all the staples. In addition, they had scrumptious appetizers. We tried the Philly cheese egg rolls. Delicious! And did i mention that they have a bar? I had a Jamaican me Crazy which i really liked. You’ll enjoy the cocktail menu. I will definitely return here.

I came here for the first time since the most recent reopening. Definitely will be coming back. The service was prompt and drinks were on point. I was served by a great host named jasmine who made sure my time there was well spent.
