We’ve been to Oushou Japanese twice now, last night for my birthday- my choice! The food is sensational. High quality ingredients and presentation.
The service is proficient and comfortable, and engaging if you wish it to be. And the room itself is very nice. Dark, atmospheric and elegant. We loved it, and will definitely be back.

Fresh sashima and salmon, the tacos are delicious. Also try the grilled salmon but it is a bit overcooked and the grilled beef skewers are quite sweet. The service is really slow as there are 2 staffs only. Might not come back as it is not worth the money

Keen to try out a relatively new place for Japanese food, we decided a pre-celebration of a birthday was in order. The staff however weren’t as keen, when we brought our one-year-old, and less keen to answer questions and offer suggestions for the people in our group that are not fans of Japanese food. Fortunately, for those of us who are fans, the food was great even if the portions were a little on the small side. This place is far more suited to smaller groups of adults, all of whom love Japanese food. Although the food was great, it was not a great experience for us.

Fried rice tasted nice and was a good portion size. The dinner menu was quite limited and pricey, I think the lunch menu has more options to choose from. Pretty close to get to from the Ozone level parking. The lighting inside was a bit dark for my liking, but the ambience was still nice.

I have eaten here many times now and the service and food is always excellent. The atmosphere/decor adds to the experience as well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a fine dining experience with really good flavourful Japanese food! They also offer a really nice lunch menu. 10/10

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and every time the food has been lovely. The atmosphere and decorations are beautiful. If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Knox, this is the place. Book in advance Friday nights and weekends because it gets busy.

Truly loved our dining experience here. We were greeted by a somewhat dim ambience, perfect for a cosy dinner setting. The dishes were well portioned and well priced. Their sukiyaki beef hotpot special was such a winner.
We ordered the deluxe sushi platters, kingfish and gyu tataki, black cod miso, tempura and the duck breast fillet with blueberry compote. All these dishes are so delicious on the palate. The cod was so nicely cooked, tender and melts in your mouth. Kingfish tataki with the yuzu ponzu sauce was not only pretty but such a refreshing starter in contrast to the creamy beef tataki.
So, so well done. You should try this place and I would love to come back again.
