Welcoming environment and staff. I went in today and was wonderfully surprised. Great food, price, parking and atmosphere. Nice patio area where I was told the host live environment. Great little gem tucked near Pavillion car wash behind McDonald’s. Large portions. I had 2-way ribs and chicken with 2 sides-greens and baked beans, yummy! I added side of potato salad and dessert- refrigerator pie (excellent citrus flavor) and pecan pie. It was more food then needed, but my way of determining if it is worth a return visit. Resounding, OH yes!!!

My husband and I had a date night here tonight. The out side area had a romantic and chill ambiance. The employees were nice and the portions were generous. We both had the combo plate with ribs and tri tip, Mac and cheese with greens. Really good bbq. The tri tip meat and Mac and cheese side were both of our favorites. We took home a pie too. I’m sure it will be just as delicious.

Well let me tell y’all something about Our Family BBQ & Pies—it’s like walkin’ into a warm hug with a plate of heaven in your hands. From the moment we stepped in, Steve, Vern, and Asia made us feel like kinfolk. Friendly as a front porch on a summer evening, they treated us like we’d been coming there for years.
Now onto the food… OH MY! We got the ribs, links, and tri-tip, and they were finger-lickin’ good. Smoky, tender, and seasoned just right, like somebody’s uncle been slow-cookin’ ‘em since sunrise. The potato salad? Best we’ve ever had, hands down. Creamy, tangy, and just right… tastes like a family reunion in a bowl.
The baked beans were sweet and savory, and that mac-n-cheese? Ooey, gooey cheesy, and downright sinful. You could taste the love in every bite. And the cornbread—it was just like gramma used to make: golden, buttery with just the right amount of sweet.
And let’s talk portions: generous is an understatement. You’re not leaving hungry, and you’re probably taking some home.

Food is absolutely delicious. Service is friendly and quick. BBQ Ribs fell off the bone, Tri tip was delicious. Greens and potato salad tastes just like my mother in law’s from down in Mississippi. They also give you Floss picks instead of toothpicks. Will definitely go back!!!

i’m very big on taste and freshness, and honestly the food didn’t hit the way i expected. the tri tip was dry and lacked flavor, and the mac n cheese wasn’t fresh or tasty. it just felt flat and missing seasoning

Big portions of meat. Ribs were very meaty. Chicken was good. Didn’t like the BBQ sauce at all. In fact it was off-putting. Might be a good idea to ask for it on the side. Potato salad was a huge disappointment. Wow! Didn’t taste house made. Reminded me of Kinders, which is also not inhouse-made. Mac & Cheese wasn’t too bad but lacked the flavor and care of other BBQ and soulfood restaurants. They may want to look at what cheeses and spices they are putting in it. The service was really poor. They didn’t even give the impression of being open for business. No paper menu was available and their menu screen monitors were not even working. We almost walked out. I wouldn’t have even known they served pies if a customer hadn’t come in and asked. There are none in display, no signs up…nothing. Apparently they had none. Odd since it’s in their name. Too bad. They don’t seem very interested in their own business.

What a find! I got tri tip, mac and cheese, and corn bread for a party I was going to. The food was a hit! The meat was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was as good as it looked and I had high hopes when I looked at it! One of my friends said the cornbread was similar to what his grandma from Mississippi used to make and that it was really rare for him to say that. 10/10 recommend and I’ll be coming here again!

Wow what a great bbq place. The mains were wonderful and the sides OMG. Make sure to try the greens as they are full of meat as well. I wish I had room in my gullet for more food so I could have tried the pie, I will have to start there next time. I would highly recommend going and enjoying some wonderful food.

Since moving to the valley, we’ve been searching for a spot that could rival our favorite BBQ joint back in Oakland—and this place beats them! The food was incredible from start to finish: perfectly smoked meats, rich flavor, and the pies? Unreal. The service was warm, the portions generous, and you can taste the love in every bite. If you’re craving real BBQ and homemade dessert done right, this is the place. Sacramento finally has a new favorite!
