Wonderful experience! It was the hostess/waitress first solo day and she did excellent. Wonderful food, quick service. Convenient location. Ham and cheese croissant and Peach tea hit the spot! Will return for the curry chicken, later!

We are in our fifties, and this was our first time here while in town for an event at Hollins University. LOVED every bit of it. Went here for breakfast and ordered a Cheesesteak Omelette and a Yogurt Parfait. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and we enjoyed everything. Our server, Caroline was efficient, professional and friendly. Well done!

Great place for breakfast. I saw a few bad reviews about this place and had to come on here and post. We’ve been here a few times now and every time has been great. The staff here are so kind and attentive and the girl who makes the coffee drinks knows what’s up! I’m glad they opened up this location. Highly recommend

Turkey Gruyere was good. Duck Confit Benedict was excellent. The Dark French Hot Chocolate completely missed the mark. Swiss Miss cocoa made w/water tastes better. The barista there clearly needs to be better trained. This location hasn’t been open for a year & it has no charm or character to it. It still looks like the Greek Restaurant it used to be. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. The service was friendly enuf but very slow & it wasn’t busy. We had originally fallen in love w/Our Daily Bread several years ago when we went to the location on Brambleton Ave. We were staying at the Hotel Roanoke, so we thought we would try out the Jefferson St. location. I don’t want to say never again..! Hopefully, they will make improvements. The following day, b4 we left town, we went to the Brambleton Ave location. We got that Dark French Hot Chocolate that we had craved since our last visit a year ago. (We come up for Dickens of a Christmas.)

Cozy interior with high ceiling, soothing music choice, top notch service, and most importantly, hearty, scrumptious food I got Coq au Vin omelet and brioche fruit Compote French toast (yes, I was hungry). Highly satisfied and will definitely come back for more!

Very cute and welcoming inside, and the staff are friendly and prompt. The food is good though nothing super special IMO. But the prices are so high for what you get. I got a basic breakfast sandwich with a medium latte and before tip, the bill was $19. That’s crazy for a modest breakfast for one person. The Salem and Brambleton locations have much more affordable options and big pastry cases, so I’d visit those preferentially over this location.

Can’t say enough good things about this gem! The blackened haddock wrap was amazing, the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake was delicious and the staff was outstanding. So helpful to visitors new to their city. Give this fun place a try and you won’t regret it!

I was relaxed right when I walked in. I was helped promptly. I had been to two other places looking for Chocolate Chip Cookies before I found this place. Not only where their chocolate chip cookies, but they were also triple chocolate cookies and chocolate chips scones! I got a Chai Ginger Latte that was so yummy.

We each ordered delicious vegetable sandwiches in focaccia bread. Wait staff Julia professional, efficient, and great with conversation. Most pleasant restaurant lunch in a long time! Very moderately priced! Being in a bakery, we ordered the best macarons of our life for dessert and brought 5 more home!
