Great ambiance, Ok Service, tasteless food.

All meats were juicy and cooked well but definitely lacking seasoning or marinade. It was a big disappointment given the positive reviews. Spent $140 for everything in the photo plus 2 drinks. Would rather go to a steak house for ambiance and better food.

We had very high hopes seeing the number of positive reviews.

Unfortunately, our yakitori came out with hardly any flavour and was quite bland.

Very weird that everything was either super sour or bland as bread. Not sure if yakitori should taste like that…

Is definitely not to our taste but might be for some people?

Really good yakitori. The sot-l’y-laisse was especially tender and flavorful, and the Otto set (6 chef’s choice skewers) was a great way to try a mix of everything. The curry (not pictured) had a nice depth of spice, too.

Service and ambiance were just okay (it gets pretty loud) but the food is excellent and worth the visit.

Otto Yakitori is the spot if you’re craving incredible grilled skewers and a fire atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent — every skewer is packed with flavor and cooked perfectly.

You also can’t ask for better service. Fanny and Kina always take care of you with genuine hospitality, and Coco, the manager, is super kind and welcoming.

Honestly, it’s one of the best places to chill, eat well, and enjoy the vibe. Highly recommend!

Been several years since my last visit to Otto Yakitori Izakaya. It was fairly busy for a late Sunday dinner. More of a light meal spot.

– Brussel sprouts ($9.00) – small but nicely cooked and topped with pumpkin seeds
– Yakitori Otto set ($19.00 for 6) – negihama, momo, tsukune, tebasaki, kawa and hatsu. All the skewers were tender, favourite was the heart
– Curry don ($16.00) – Japanese curry had a nice underlying heat to it. Had a couple potatoes, chicken and pickled ginger mixed in

Had an amazing time at Ottol! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and energetic. The staff kept the atmosphere fun the entire night — super friendly, quick with recommendations, and honestly felt like part of the crew.

We absolutely balled out and enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, and even better people. If you’re looking for a spot where you can relax, have fun, and feel taken care of, Otto is the place. Can’t wait to go back!

The food is good, the decor is nice, service is ok. I did not like the loud rock music though, very unusual in an izakaya restaurant. The buns with braised pork were cold and came with pickles, still very surprising. I am happy I tried it but it is not the kind of izakaya I am used to. So be aware of that when trying it. And no happy hour offered vs what says the black board. Still worth the try.

We loved this perfect little Japanese bar/restaurant. The food is authentic and not expensive. They have a very reasonably priced selection of drinks, including cocktails.
We liked the polite and attentive staff, good house music soundtrack and the relaxing atmosphere. This is a good place to eat or just to have some drinks before going clubbing later. I really wish this was my local!

One of my go-to spot, great food and ambiance, sometimes the music is off tho (it was like a club vibe; quite loud and “beaty”instead of a chill pub resto). Their bao buns and fried squid tentacles NEVER miss !! so delicious every time, drinks are good as well and decent portion. They did increase the price $18 for 2 buns instead of $16, as well as the bibimbap, quite steep, but still within affordability.
