I first discovered Otto Pizza & Pastry in 2021. One of my former coworkers from Whole Foods, located across the street, recommended it, and he said he really enjoyed it. After he described the place, I tried it for myself.
Otto Pizza & Pastry is among the most incredible pizza places in Tempe. Everything on the pizza tastes fresh, and I particularly enjoy the sauce’s flavor. It gives you a nice burst of tomato flavor. They also have great calzones, pastas, sandwiches, and pastries. I have had their cheesecake, and it is some of the best cheesecake I have ever had.
The service is friendly and helpful. They are happy to offer any of their best-selling menu items and to ensure you have everything you need.
I also like the atmosphere of the place. It is a pleasant, quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy your food while watching TV, with the television on top of the refrigerator, which also houses the pastries.
I highly recommend Otto Pizza & Pastry to anyone seeking a great pizza place in Tempe. It is one of the more underrated pizza places, and it deserves more respect.
I am eager for my next visit.

I was headed to Whole Foods across the street but decided to try Otto Pizza instead. I was greeted when I walked in. Staff were smiling and seemed happy to be there. The environment was inviting and cozy. The restaurant is small but the setting is comfortable. It was clean, there are a variety of options on the menu. I had to take a bite before I took a Pic The pizza was delicious!! The sauce to cheese ration was great, the crust was fluffy with just enough crunch. I will be a repeat customer for sure

I had not been back in forever and this was my first time just grabbing a slice since we used to always order a whole pie. The pizza is loaded with toppings and tastes great, they get busy fast during weekday lunch and you definitely should not skip the desserts because they are really good.

Five stars for Otto’s! The pizza here is top-tier! We tried the Tropical, Medallion and a classic Pepperoni, and they were both fantastic.
The crust is thin and cooked to perfection, which is exactly how we like it. It was the perfect choice for a family dinner, highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the mood for great pizza! Great experience!!!

I purchased a medium pepperoni and cheese pizza with sausage.
Iit was absolutely delicious. I took it home and shared it with my step son who enjoyed it thoroughly.
The lady behind the counter was very friendly. She accepted my order with a smile.
It was the meal to have after coming home from delivering cars,trucks, and equipment over the road in a beat-up truck and trailer from all points north and south for Tap United Freight LLC and Purple Heart Transportation LLC that almost got me killed.

Otto Pizza is one of those places that just gets it right. The pizza is classic in the best way. Simple ideas, done perfectly. The crust hits that sweet spot, the toppings make sense, and every slice tastes like it was made by someone who actually cares. Nothing feels overthought, nothing feels lazy. Just straight up amazing pizza that you want to keep eating even when you are already full. So so good!
